by flipper inmany of us i'm sure experienced embarrassing or comical moments as a witness.
some things we'd rather just forget , i'm sure, but some things helped us think on our feet, quickly in helping others .

Former Unbaptized Publisher, New Here
by GloomySunday informer unbaptized publisher, here.. i'm new to the forums and have hesitated for months to join this forum.
i was raised in a jw family, and was never baptized, because one of my parents didn't think i should be baptized early.. my mother became inactive, but i eventually went back for social contact, eventually starting a study.
i raised a few questions, only to find that the conductor would get irritated and defensive when my questions would get deeper into the topic.

Welcome, I also started to fade,is been a big relieve not to worry about :service, meetings, reading magazines, prepare for meetings, comments, bible study's
every week, personal study ,ect....if you really think about it is way too much pressure .add kids to the mix and a " unbelieving husband" too.Its funny that
they say that jehovah does not ask for too much...I come to realize that that is very truth.is the organization that asks too much of people.I suffered from
depression ,suicidal thoughts too,I talk to the elders about it and they told me I needed wisdom. And that I was not spiritual enough.I can't believe I put
myself through that.but I am relieved for this site and the friends in it too.

AHA! Moments. When you were a JW; what struck you the hardest counter?
by Terry insooner or later every jehovah's witness encounters an intelligent person with facts at their disposal who can unload something that causes a doubt.
naturally, you defend against it.
but, the wind has been knocked out of your belief-system however briefly.

I was looking for a video in YouTube, and the video of jaw struggle came up ,...weir cause I was looking for funny cats videos to show my kids...I started
watching it even knowing I was not supposed to.I always felt that there was something there that I couldn't explain,I did not felt the love and unity they
proclaimed to have.I felt confuse thinking that something was wrong with me.I was not spiritual enough ,that expression was told to me enough times by
jws.I felt depressed because I did not read enough or preach enough.plus my hubby was not in the "truth" and the ipocracy was too much..from the stage
my hubby was being rip apart, but in person ,face to face was: what a loving husband you are... Lol,, ridiculous !..some sisters would talk about worldly
people and how horrible they are,but when it came to riding in my hubby's car, eating the food he purchased, sleeping over where he pays the rent..he is
good.see what I mean?

I read somewhere that the vail was to cover the bride entirely ,the vail had to be kept because when the bride dies she would be wearing it.and also like you said free and happy is a protection from spirits too.
interesting, why the witnesses chose to ignore this?
