40,000 new kingdom halls needed

not sure where to post this, but the other day my jw mom says to me, 'the number is increasing they announced that we need 40,000 new kingdom halls'.

ok, who else has heard this, and how should i respond, other than to say well your cong is smaller now than it was 15 years ago..... where your growth?.

It's exactly like Cedars pointed out.

The 'Stealth Tithe' syndrome. Now that the GB 2.0 has every congregation 'pledging' (stealth tithing) a fixed amount each month, it makes perfect BUSINESS sense to construct more KH's, reduce the size of the congregation, guilt the congregations into paying their 'stealth tithe' (monthly pledge) and thereby collect much more money. God! it's a perfect business model. Each congregation has their own KH, no more sharing, and instead of a modest pledge from a congregation sharing a KH with another congregation, each congregation gets it's own KH and it's own 'stealth tithe' or congregation pledge.

JEHOBER has surely blessed the GB 2.0 with 'nu-lite' on fleecing the flock. Praise jehober! or get flocked. Your choice.

Preaching... a requirement for baptism?

so i have been doing some reading lately.

i have yet to bump into the text that show that preaching is a requirement to qualify for baptism.

in fact, i have read more paragraphs that say otherwise.

Hundreds of thousands of hours building a magnificent campus for the magnificent 7 or preaching to the 'broken hearted'? lol . wtf

Cartoon characters for the kiddies or real deep meaningful bible prophecy (aka bs) via Freddy Franz? lol. wtf

Went to a viewing at a Catholic Church...not what I expected

a child in my daughter's class lost his mother very recently.

we went to the viewing last night at the local catholic church.

in the foyer area there was a bulletin board with pamphlets regarding child sex abuse, including by the church, in both english and spanish.

Was a dub for 55 years and never saw any real charity from the borg. Yea they help their own in a disaster but beyond that they keep a tight reign on their money. If the wtbts was god's org. they would give generously and jehober would replenish the coffers, right? But if you are a selfish, man made, narcissistic, greedy, for power organization, you hold your money and beg for more contributions.

Good example, wife went to last Sunday's wt study and i looked at her wt they studied(lol studied). Page 5 they are making sure that dubs know how to fill the coffers of the wtbts even after death. What a crock of crap!

Every religion has it's own weirdness, but most at least are generous to the poor. Not the wtbts!

It makes witnessing 'easier'? It's always easy to do nothing except to sit on your butt and chat with your friend.

Noah preached 100-120 years and no followers. What the hell was he preaching?

let me see if i have this straight.

we are to believe noah preached over a 100 years with 0 effect.. the bible records that lamech, noah's father had sons and daughter's but the number is not included.

to have a plural number of brothers and sisters, there would be at least four siblings, two brothers and two sisters.. my folks had 6 kids and 90 years later there are over 100 family members.. some say based on what's written in gen.6:3, noah preached anywhere between 100-120 years.

I wonder if jehober had Noah so busy building physical material buildings that he just didn't have tome to save people from drowning?

EVIDENTLY (I love that word) jehober has thousands of dubs doing the same thing today up in Warwick, NY. No time to advertise, advertise, advertise that king and his kingdom, we gotta build, build, build a king-dumb. I guess the end ain't really that close, EVIDENTLY!

Today's WT Study based on a theme that adds words not found in the original Greek.

today's wt study, from the december 15, 2014, is based on mark 7:14, which says:.

so calling the crowd to him again, he said to them: listen to me, all of you, and understand the meaning.

the two words at the end, "the meaning", are not found in the greek.

As always the wtbts wants us to ask questions that can only be answered in wt literature. So ask any question you like but only get your answer from us. "We are the only reliable source of troof" don't you know!

Better to have questions that can't be answered; that answers that can't be questioned----right?

Maybe it will include some neat war stories from his days in the military. Wonder how many he killed or saved? whatever it will be extremely embellished as are all jw life stories in the wt.

He will probably be compare to the apostle Paul--from opposer to brother of jc by a miraculous conversion. lol

Even if , "Deliverance isn't at hand", the wtbts now has those hands building new multi million dollar buildings all over the world. So "busy hands are happy hands" seems to be the new, unspoken, motto of the wtbts. Tens of thousands of hours building buildings that will not be needed in the new fantasy world? the emphasis now is definitely on building not preaching. Big 'elders only' meeting last week was all about building and expanding jehobers earthly holdings!

Every time my still-in wife relates these stories to me, I counter with, "Honey, every religion has their own version of this very same story. JW's are not unique with these type of experiences."

She quickly changes the subject but I know that she knows that it's true.
