  my mother is old enough that i don't want to burst her bubble by telling her ttatt.

  i keep my mouth shut about what i know so that i can continue to have a relationship with her.

  my father died a few years back and i would love to see her marry again.

  it is reported that elder kevin bowditch was so upset at the grilling he received at the arc that he has traveled to austin, texas to prepare for any future encounters with angus stewart.. we see from various stages of the interrogation his increasing anguish.

  he is reported as saying in private, '.. that's never going to happen again.

  i think i was hung up and left out to dry by the governing body.

  If I were an elder in his situation, I'd be pissed off too. How come jehober didn't put the right words in his mouth? He had a large audience to provide a wonderful 'witness' and yet he fell on his face. He should have 'waited on jehober' to put the correct words in his mouth. He's still be sitting there!

  religions behave as though they do not know the meaning of the very word religion (from religare, latin, to reconnect) and go to any extent to keep their identity and to massage their feeling of self-importance.

  this makes adherents hypocrites which in turn makes onlookers lose their faith in god.

  "Power of reason" is not one of the necessary steps nor qualities that one must have to be baptized as a JW. In fact, it probably disqualifies a person!

  Whoever HE was HE was a man's GOD. Men created HIM for their own purposes and the women got screwed because HE said it was ok. Sort of like the situation today in the middle east for women. HE has many names and HE's still a man's GOD over there.

  Some of the 'experiences' that are given at the rc's and ca's are sickeningly embellished and contrived to say the least. They are designed to appeal only to the emotional heart strings of the modern day dubs.

  As I have often told my 'stillin' wife, these same kind of 'experiences' are also given at other religious events and revivals. Every religion has there "unique" stories to 'prove' that they are the true religion.

  Do you ever wonder why the god that is so disgusted with sexual immorality has so many juicy 'accounts' of it recorded in the bible for our benefit?

  Not saying that immorality is a good thing but when we read god's 'inspired' word and come across the story of Lot and his 2 daughters getting screwed by daddy, getting pregnant by daddy, and then reading that daddy Lot was a "righteous" man? What?

  David screws Bathsheba, gets her pregnant and has her husband murdered and he's god's buddy? What?

  Most of the "faithful men of old" have multiple wives and concubines (lovers)? What was god thinking when he had these stories preserved "for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight".

  (also a 13th orbit which seems to be a comet, probably halley).

  since geoffrey jackson's appearance before the australian royal commission on friday there has for some been an expressed feeling of anticlimax.

  it is as though he was given too much latitude to preach, to claim ignorance and to skirt questions.

  more to the point, as much as i myself thought i would never have expected to say this, gj actually came across as likeable and - don't throttle me please!

  We all need to frame his words; "that would be presumptuous" when questioned about the gb being god's spokesmen here on earth. Those words should live on in infamy and he is sure to get a good tongue lashing from the other 6 gb 'gods' when he gets back to Brooklyn.
