i think it's wonderful that be all posses creative power of thought, and i think this form of creative manifestation comes most commonley in the form of arts.so many posters have mentiond they are writing a book, but i bet some of you create music or make a wonderful soup.. i ask this because i was reading my old school reports and my art teacher wrote " michael is the post constructive, imaginative pupil i have ever had.
his enthusiasm wonders a bit but on the whole an excellent pupil" ....sadly i think if that statement was true i have rather let my self down with my artistic expression.
still it's never to late and i intend to involve myself in my art again this summer..
We all gave up on life, not just creativity. No telling what some of could have been had not wasted much of our lives on all things jw. I wanted to be a professional baseball player. Probably would not have made it that far, buttttttttttttt,,,, who knows. It's what I loved and did well despite being dragged into the cult and all things jw.

leviticcus 14 -16. well i thought most of it was not appllicable for our day and certainly some parts are not appropriate for children.
chapter 14 is about cleansing from leprosy.
i didn't read the verses, i 've read leviticus before.
My house got the measles once. I prayed, slaughtered 4 turtle doves, smeared their blood all over the house and the measles went away. I'm sure glad the bible had the cure for house measles.

hey guys, there's another thing i wanted to share with you.
i know this topic has been discussed over and over again, but it's just so fun to complain about it.
we're going to the district convention this weekend.
At least I have a nice indoor arena in Long Beach to enjoy our 3 days of hell. I go for my Mother-in-law as she is now 86 and still waiting on jehoba to make all thing right. Sheesh, to think that I use to take my family to those hot, miserable outdoor conventions every year. What a sap I was. Sorry family, please forgive me for the wasted summers.

things in general, and things wt/jw related ?.
i find i am much more relaxed and pragmatic about life in general, mrs phizzy and i do what we can, but we don't get overly upset at what we cannot do.
Phizzy's post pretty much sums up my feelings also about life and all things jw. Really enjoying life without letting all the "special" jw events and mind numbing meetings interfer with what I really want to do. My adult children have sure noticed the difference as I am much more human and caring about people, and have 'real' time for my grandchildren. Just took my 2 oldest grandsons a nice 10 day roadtrip. It was very nice. No meetings, no fs, no meeting clothes to pack. Just a relaxed atmosphere. Life is better without the constant pressure and guilt. Even smoke an occasional cigar. My wife notices my relaxed approach to life and i know that she 'secretly' really likes the change after 47 years of constant jw-dom dictating our every move.

in the year 2011, i was very ill with severe anxiety and panic attacks.. my psychiatrist prescribed two potent anti-depressants.. one day, when i was all alone, i heard a distinct voice say, "there are knives in the kitchen - small, medium, and large ...".
the voice trailed off, but the meaning was clear: use one of those knives on yourself!.
my niece in atlanta reported a similar experience when she was prescribed the same anti-depressants following a stillborn delivery.. i'm curious.. has anyone else experienced something like this?.
Quit going to meetings, field service, personal study (of wtbts literature only), quit praying to an unknown god, and you probably will lose the depression.

so, 'we' as jws are not supposed to be nationalistic or promote individual countries or cultures over another....isn't that correct?.
so, why do witnesses love to have "international" conventions where we see delegates all proudly wearing the stereotyped clothing of their native lands?.
arent witnesses supposed to be part of gods nation, separate from the world, speaking the "pure language"?.
Jw's are not suppose to think either! Just listen, obey, and be f*^#ked.

I'm like Phizzy, started attending at 4 yo and now 67. Started doubting after '75 and serious doubting in '95 and left mentally about 2000. But I was a long time elder and the "spiritual" partriarch in our family. I kept up appearances until 2009. Dumb ,dumb, dumb.

Very sad. Possibly the locals will be thinking that they must have been secretly practicing sin and big J punished them by letting them drown! Ah! the many mysterious, contrived stories that the WTBTS will spin off this tragedy.
