Another freakin example of the way the borg arbitrarily cherry picks the scriptures and misapplies them. The bible in both 1 and 2 Corinthians provides pretty specific instructions about “marry only in the lord” and “do not become unevenly yoked”. Yet one is seldom if ever df’ed for marrying an unbeliever. Smoke an occasional Cuban, (about which the bible says absolutely nothing) and you’ll be df’ed.

You're right! JW's is an American religion, born and raised. Recently, in order to be "politically" correct, the borg has brought in or 'promoted' some upper level personnel from other countries. But for the most part, the borg is historically white, american, balding old men.

That's the route I took. "Stepped down" as an elder (which was, by the way, a huge "step up" in life) and 6 months later pretty much quit the borg altogether.
It's a trend that should start gaining some traction as the 'sheeple' start seeing and feeling the real direction of the borg.

A question I asked of the whole Body of Elders in my congregation some time in the '80's was :
"Why, if a "Prophetic Year" was 360 days long, were the years fulfilling the prophecy not, likewise, 360 days long ?" (In slightly different words, but essentially your Thread title question)

I had exactly the same question back in the late 60's. I got the same bluster from a brother that I asked.Trying to explain this non-sense to any thinking person is absolutely impossible. I've dubbed it "math-magic" and I now also wonder how I swallowed their bs for so many years.

Face the facts, if you're a female jw, you are just not important! The gb brothers are so busy supplying "spiritual food" at the proper time (lol), how can they possibly find time for a wife?

Fortunately we all lived through it and now have a life. On the occasions that I do attend with my wife, I have an ipad so I can check my email, ebay, and the the NFL scores. Still boring though.
