How far will they go?

i've been drawing back lately and looking at the big picture going on in the org, somewhat like slimboyfat has also been doing, but i am wondering about different possibilities.

so the current gb has modernized recently in various ways.

they have done a strong and sudden about-face regarding the electronic world, from viewing the whole thing suspiciously and condemning bros. use tablets from the platform to suddenly embracing them and causing the r&f to do so to such a degree that old ones are spending hundreds of dollars to buy devices that they have no clue how to use; they have heavily embraced this media for their message, very much like the churches have been doing for years, especially with their jw broadcasting and their caleb and sophia animations.

I honestly believe that all the radical changes in recent years have actually f**ked the borg in the long run. 'Oldsters' like me do not even recognize this religion anymore as the one they grew up in. To me, all the changes are a sure sign of instability and lack of real leadership. The stupid changes pushed me to take a look at the past which led me to ttatt which led me to freedom. My 'born in' kids see my attitude change and my disregard for the wtbts and it has had a very desirable result on their lives.

Hopefully it will have the same affect on others which it seems to be doing!

Blood Cards on File with the Elders?

i have a question for elders here or recent elders.

were the elders, in the last 10 years, given instruction to keep a copy of every publishers blood card on file at the kh?.

we moved to our current cong 6 years ago, and shortly after we moved in, the boe requested everyone update and give a copy of card to the kh.

of course, no one could ever fully replace "our oracle for over 50 years" (ray franz quoting karl klein or someone else on the gb back in the days of gb i in cofc somewhere ), but i have to wonder just who on gb ii has come to fill fred franz's shoes the most.

it seems like it is david splane.

he appears to be in charge of the writing department, proposes and pushes thru the gb most of the doctrinal changes (he announces them so they're his baby), and like ff, fancies himself musically inclined.

spotlight - about a newspaper exposing the cover-ups of the catholic church about child sexual abuse.

My 'still-in' wife and I went to see it together. I loved the movie for both the acting and the content. On the way home from the movie I mentioned that the same expose' was happening within other churches including wtbts. Silence but ttatt.

Do you think that Lot's virgin daughters had hymens? Bible doesn't mention any "interference" when old Lot was raping his daughters. One would think that "whiskey dick" and a strong hymen might have prevented old Lot from violating his own daughters--but in mythology ---all things are possible!

however, the watchtower, study edition of april 2016, reads:pages 6 and 7:not only was jephthah a mighty warrior but he was a student of gods dealings with his people.

jephthahs thorough grasp of israels history gave him a clear picture of what was right and what was wrong in jehovahs eyes.

anyone that is/was a dedicated jehovah's witness knows that the worship of the ''faithful and discreet slave'' is the only relationship we know.i don't remember having a personal relationship with jehovah without the governing body being in the way.they make all the rules on every matter.anyone who thinks that jehovah has any control on your daily matters is a fool.jehovah's witnesses only answer to an organization!.

no, we dedicate ourselves to the supreme sovereign of the universe, our creator, jehovah god himself.

Why do girls have a hymen?

if you believe humans evolved, and were not created, why would having a hymen help, especially as no other mammal has one?

if you believe humans were created by {a} god, or intelligent beings with advanced technology, what was the reason for a hymen?

i'm interested to hear your thoughts on this unusual subject, not many people talk about..
