most jws i know claim they are happy being in the great crowd.
they'd rather live on a paradise earth and pet lions than go to heaven.. heaven is a place they can't relate to, a place where they don't expect their friends and loved ones to be.. so why are more and more jws claiming to be of the anointed?.
aren't they looked down upon as if they are crazy, proud, ignorant, or engaging in apostate thinking?.
Because there is no qualifying, no questions to go over with the elders, and no hour requirement to be in that special group "annointed"!

i'm honestly in awe about this particular scripture (and honestly i can't keep thanking jwfacts enough for providing biblical contradictions to the jw doctrine!).
"john said to him: "teacher, we saw a certain man expelling demons by the use of your name and we tried to prevent him, because he was not accompanying us.
" but jesus said: "do not try to prevent him, for there is no one that will do a powerful work on the basis of my name that will quickly be able to revile me; for he that is not against us is for us.
The people of the region saw that there was great power in the name of Jesus,
"The bible is an old fiddle on which any tune can be played." That's how they explain everything!
IMHO, Paul did to Jesus' teachings the same as Rutherford did to Russell's teachings. Teachings that started out as gentle, kind, and humane got changed by the next guy in line of authority. Paul often mentioned Jesus teachings because he saw
'great power in the name of Jesus" but he also added his own version and twist on things. He used the "Jesus power and persuasion" as a segway to take over and promote his own ideas into the "christian " congregations. Most 'christian' doctrine today is basically Pauline dogma. He wrote most of the greek scriptures which reflect his world view of how things should be.
Rutherford did the same thing to Russell's religion. He muscled his way in and took over. He used what Russell amazing was able to get started and often mentioned Russell in endearing terms, because he saw " great power in the name of CT Russell"/ until he gained full control. His writings dominated the organization for many decades until thankfully he died.
Sorry if I got of track!

we all know that the governing body claim to be "god's representatives" and the "faithful and discreet slave" that dispenses spiritual food..... but where is the proof?.
according to the bible (if we just for a moment take it as a reliable source), all of god's representatives in the past furnished proof of their appointment - not just self referential claims or statements.. for instance, moses and aaron performed miracles before pharaoh (such as the snake staffs.).
other prophets performed signs and miracles such as making the sun stand still, healing sick people, making walls fall down, etc etc.... even jesus performed miracles as proof of his divine appointment!.
If you need proof that you have the troof, you're faith must be weak! Or you may have a fully functioning brain!

what would happen when the man on the picture below, would ring the bell at 1. kings drive in texudo.
" the guard asked with a routine smile on his face.
"maybe i can help you, i presume?
Their masters are already there in Warwick, They have 7 of them and as we all know, 7 is the "symbolic" (LOL) number for 'heavenly completeness".
So the guard would have to politely say, "Come back when one of our guys dies!"

jw files a suit because his surgery was refused!
supreme court decides against jw.. in the present case, the dilemma to which the hospital refers is not at all.
Sooo sad that a person is (semi) willing to give up their life based on some f*cked up interpretation of a jewish dietary law imposed on the f*cked up nation of Israel. I've lost 2 jw friends who very well could have survived if they had taken a blood transfusion.
Unfortunately the wtbts will never be able to get "new light" on the blood issue due to the lawsuits that would follow. Wouldn't it be ironic if jw's would start suing the wtbts if one of their loved ones died as a result of refusing a blood transfusion. Or, sue the wtbts if the jw accepts a blood transfusion, survives but is then disfellowshipped (essentially being put to a spiritual death). They would probably not be able to win the law suit, but it would surely start to cost the wtbts to have to defend themselves.

i loved going out in service, i would empty my book bag out on the counter at the laundromat, walk out and go get a doughnut, i had a lot of hours and placements on my time card.
i really hated talking to people, the anxiety was too much for me to handle, good thing my service partner felt the same way..
What always disgusted me when I was a devoted jw was the "hot topic" for discussion among the pioneers around the middle of August every year. "Did you get you TIME in"?, "Are you going to get your TIME in?", "Did you make your TIME?"
It was always about time and not about people! When the CO came around, his question to the elders. "How can we help the pioneers to get their TIME in?"

a lot of religious folks can have an open-minded discussion about their beliefs without getting defensive.
some can actually consider things from another point of view and point out the validity in the other person's point.
obviously, a lot of jws may just be scared to think/speak in a semi-detrimental way about their religion.
I'm 100% with sparrowdown on this. It's always been of paramount importance for the wtbts to have ALL the answers to All the questions. Even having the answers to the medical, scientific, marital, and what is sexually acceptable for married persons questions! Just to think that most of us at one time actually believed that they had All the correct answers make me ill. How stupid we were to part of such a grandiose organization that made us so mentally lazy!

Q. "Why should we avoid higher education?" A. "Because we said so."
Q. "Why should you start pioneering right out of high school?" A. "Because we said so."
Q. "Why should we not believe what we read in the media?" A. "Because we said so."

yes god directs our writings but they're not inspired, so gods directions are staggered and overlapping , so the genuine innocent believing jw has a wonderful life of overlapping bullshit.
so next time you meet a jw priest ask them what is the difference between being directed and inspired, then i promise you will hear first hand an example of overlapping bull..
The terms "directed by Holy Spirit" and "inspired" EVIDENTLY and CLEARLY do not have "overlapping" meanings!

due to family reasons gorby was present today.. the watchtower study was about refugee's.. how to treat refugee's, jw and non believers, and help them spiritual, not financial.
nothing new.. what i mentioned is the juridical message underneath the whole story.
don't talk politics, listen to government regulations etc.. most bizar is that a whole congregation that normaly avoid giving any aid to people in need, this morning gave the best practice in word about what to do with refugee's.. if the subject was not that serious, this hypocracy could be funny.
We can surely see how loving jehober is! When a person is starving, cold, and tired, only literature from the watchtower can be truly comforting!
