How can there be so many half empty KH's if so many are getting baptized? Must be at least one or two leaving or becoming inactive for everyone getting baptized! Or are the numbers being artificially inflated?

seen in the 03/2018 watchtower study :.
"during the 2017 service year, more than 284,000 “rightly disposed” individuals symbolized their dedication to jehovah by water baptism.".

· the whole book of revelation is one letter.. · that letter was to be taken by a courier and read out aloud in churches along a road that ran from ephesus to laodicea.
the author was very familiar with each of the churches.. · those christians were experiencing intense persecution.. · the letter was designed to encourage these first-century christians to “overcome”.
it told them that the end was imminent (“soon”) and they had to remain faithful, to the point of being prepared to losing their lives.. · john had gone to patmos in order to compose (“receive”) the message.
Smoke you some good weed and then maybe, just maybe Revelation will make sense!
The writer surely had some great hallucination going!

decide for your selves.. dad : joe if ever i need an operation i've told them i don't want blood.
not a drop.. joe : well what about blood fractions.
Joe; Dad, if I need an operation will you honor my decision to have a blood transfusion if the doctors say I need one?
Dad; No son I could not honor your decision because it violates my conscience!
Joe; Yea that's what I though------you one way a**hole!

there’s all this talk about combining congregations to enhance kingdom hall utilization.
the branch offices keep calling the halls half full.
are they half full or half empty?
A nearby KH here in central California had to be torn down because they built it on a land fill and it started breaking apart. It seated 238. They are now building a new hall with only 138 seats. Jehobeer must be blessing that congregation! Its epidemic shrinkage!

here's a hypothetical: you find your elderly jw father - a lifelong witness, unconscious in his home - you are alone with him.
you ring an ambulance.
at the hospital the doc says they need to give him a blood transfusion straight away or he'll die.
I wouldn't say a word. If dad lived, it would be much easier to ask for his forgiveness than if he had died!
If he dies, at least you tried and he won't know the difference.

not a drop.. joe : well what about blood fractions.
Joe; Dad did you know that when you have a blood test (blood drawn to determine a health condition) that you are literally donating blood?
Dad; Yea but that 's different because i'm not giving my blood to help save someone's life.
Joe; Yes dad, that's true!

i wanted to discuss the (supposed) biblical events that disturbed me a lot when i was a jw.
these incidents were just read and discussed in the kingdom hall as if these are normal and justified, which clearly weren't.
perhaps this led to my awakening.
I have often wondered about and commented to my many jw friends and family about how jehober's bloodthirsty nature. Why was it necessary for hundreds of thousands of sheep and cattle to be slaughtered during a 7 day period when Solomon inaugurated the temple?
Of course we all know that this account is an extreme exaggeration , just like good old Solomon having 1,000 wives/concubines, but it goes to the core of why such an account is contained in the bible. Millions of gallons of blood poured out just to inaugurate a f**cking building that jehober later allowed to be destroyed?

it certainly has to be one of the most exciting times to live in as an awake ex witness!.
the wave of momentum we are part of as thousands awaken from the hold of the society is a joy to be a part of.
the internet helps us to see that we are not alone.
Waving goodbye to the past life as a dub and riding the wave of freedom!
We can all now Rave about this Wave and the lives that it will Save and just to think that we all Gave to this departure from 'he Slave' and that we can now Behave like we're not heading for our Grave cause the road ahead we Pave for the fearless and the Brave!
Poetic justice for the WT!

i remember my mother teaching me that a conscience was like an alarm in my head that would warn me when i'm on the verge of doing something immoral.
if i ignored the beeping, the batteries would run out.
i'd lose my moral compass.
Unforgivable is allowing agonizing pain, untold suffering, devastating starvation, cruel torture, racial injustice, horrible birth defects, etc., etc. to be possible in the first place and then to allow it to continue IF YOU HAVE THE POWER TO STOP IT!

let’s say that you haven’t been around a kingdom hall in years and everyone knows you are not a “true believer “ anymore.
yet a tragedy strikes and you want to give a real heartfelt expression of your feelings— what would you say?
would you acknowledge the resurrection hope that the witnesses entertain or say something very different?.
Since jw's love to call their religion "The Truth", why not tell them 'the truth'-- that one day they will also be joining their loved one--in death! RIP
