Could you get reinstated?
by Gadget inif you wanted to, would you be able to convince your local elders to reinstate you?
you'd have to go to every meeting, sitting at the back, showing 'the right attitude' and not talking to anyone.
you'd have to do this for 6 months to 1 year.

no could not do it - I admire in a funny sort of way those who have done it

New Ontario Overbeer Sighting!
by Valis in"and lo it came to pass, that when overbeers where appointed round the world, barmageddon would commence.
a heavenly host of hosts n' hostesses would reign over the flock and spiritual food would flow like fresh brew from a newly tapped keg.
drink, rejoice and fail not to heed the sage advice set forth in jeremiah 25:27.

Would you ever visit Bethel?
by freedom96 inyou ever been driving, and traffic builds up coming up to an accident?
human nature being what it is, everyone stops to see the accident.
of course, by the time we get there, we are so pissed at the traffic, we slow down ourselves to make sure we see what all the fuss was about.. compare that perhaps to seeing the biggest accident of them all, bethel.

No I would not -- if I am in NYC or other great city -- there are far too many other places I would want to see than tour Bethel and have to wear a suit and neck tie which I think men ar esupposed to now -- there has been a few KMs and WTs on the subject

What did you think of "Simplification" ???
by Swan ini know now what was behind many of the simplification procedures that were adopted at the assemblies over the years.
the books and food were given away to avoid tax problems.
but what did you think about it when you were a jw?.

mm - not thought about it that way -- I can see where you are coming from - yes can definitely be argued it is more controlling and not just from financial standpoint

What was your worst/best experience in field service?
by obiwan ini will have to say mine is a worst/best experience.
i was out in serviceon a saturday with my mother of all things, we went to a door knocked, and this awesome looking 16 or 17 year old girl opens the door wearing nothing but a dress shirt.

--- talk about being hard to make eye contact, the girls nipples were standing out a foot.
I had a similar experience - I was with an elder and we were invited in and this girl had a see through negligee on (nightdress or whatever) We could see everything -- I was so horny after that and I just could not keep my eyes off her -- what a wonderful experience -- if I had been on my own I do not know what I would have done -- wonderful service experience -- the elder was also struggling a little -- do not ask me waht we talked about -- talk about loss of concentration

But in other areas -- electronic transfer of funds and other issues -- the simplification on the money issue is actually more centalizing and more controlling so I do not think there is a totally straightforward answer. On doing away with subscriptions can be argued both ways - -saves money but now magaziness come from congregations not Bethel -- so delegating

He sounds one sandwich short of a pic-nic to me -- or 1 cent short of a dollar -- or as you Brits would say -- he is not a full shilling
