Okay, it is not new light. Good to know.
Though their reasoning on this does sound reasonable I don't think they should teach it as if it is fact.
Maybe Jesus really was afraid to be tortured and killed. Maybe he was asking JAH if there was another way for him to die and he was saying if possible please let me die in a different manner.
My brother from the stage rambled on about this as if it were an absolute fact not just a possiblity.

Well the cop really was there and did try and save the others but he did not kill himself. He was killed by something crushing him. The shooting hismself in the head was fiction. At least I am pretty sure it was.

I think OS did sensationalize the people too much. I was surfing the web the night I saw the movie and I didn't find anything to give claim to the cop shooting himself. If somebody has proof otherwise please share.

Okay, confession time . . .
i did get a little choked up at the KH today during the song. They were singing a song I knew well at one time.
I LOVE music and I LOVE to sing. I've been thinking about it and the kingdom melodies I always loved to sing. So I guess I have an emotional tie to them and that is what cased a little tear action.
It scared me a little. But suring the entire talk I was okay, nothing hit me like the music. Instead, as I already said I was refuting, in my mind, everything that was being said during the PT. -

Hi HL, that what I thought too. I thought that that was the ultimate test and proved that perfect man could submit and obey God. That Jesus was stressed, frightened and still submitted to God's will.

no worries Arthur . . . I'm sure I thought and said worse about my brother today when I told my fiance all about it.
My bro also went on to talk about the elder arrangement and how they are there to help you heal.
LOL! What a freaking joke!!! The elders have no clue how to care for those who are seriously mentally ill or those who have been abused.
All they do is read you scriptures and tell you to rely and wait on Jehovah. That is certainly a big help!
If your not comforted by scripture then you must be spiritually weak.
No HL I left after the PT. I'm glad I went though. I was so happy and relieved to know that I do not think like them anymore.

Today at the KH my brother gave the PT. He said that while Jesus was praying to God just before his arrest he was praying that he die in a different situation.
Accroding to the info in the PT Jesus did not want to die like a common criminal for fear it would bring shame on God's name.
Have the witnesses always believed this. Is it actually said in the bible or are they reading between the lines? I read the few verses in Matthew and did not come to that conclusion.

Ok, so one elder who totally shunned me at my sister's anniversary party a few weeks ago said hello to me today at the KH.
So, I guess as long as I am in a KH it is okay to tell me hello and ask me how I'm doing.
It was totally obvious he was shunning me at the party. I was standing w/ my sister and brother-in-law when he walked up to them and started chatting. He never looked at me or said hello.
But, as I said . . . at the KH today he was walking past me and stopped and said" "Hi, How are you?" I said fine, How are you?" He just said, "It's great to see you."
What a total . . . hmmm what is the right word here . . . Asshole? Well that works but it's not what I'm trying to say . . . Freaking hipocrites!!!
The other A-hole elder who snubbed me at my sister's party I'm sure would have walked his hipocrite ass over to say hello too if he didn't have to go up on stage to conduct the WT study.
I was standing right at the back of the KH waiting for my niece and he saw me and looked like he wanted to walk over to me but probably didn't have enough time.
