Good for you rescuing a precious little animal. Can you post a picture or describe her in more detail?
My fiance and I got to precious little babies from the pound and they are the sweetest dogs I've ever known.
I'm sure you and your new doggie will bring each other so much joy.

What were your seating habits at the hall?
by JH ini would always leave a space between me and someone else.
i hated when someone was seated right next to me.
didn't feel comfortable.. i also loved sitting in back of a tall person, that would hide everything, like that i could close my eyes and the speaker wouldn't notice.....lol.

Always on the left or right towards the front. If I sat in the middle it was closer to the back. When I was there alone w/out family I loved to sit alone. That always made me feel independent. Even now I love being alone. I go to restaurants and movies alone.

JWs on Friends Reunited
by solo infor those who have not heard of it friends reunited is a web site where you can look up you old schools and and see what all your old school mates are doing, you can post your own profile and let everyone else know what you are doing.
well i have checked out several schools where i know jws went and have found several of them have posted there, some of them have also included their profile to let everyone know what they have done since leaving school, jobs, where they have moved to and if you got married and had kids.. however, not one single one of them has stated that they are jws???
isn't this supposed to be the most important thing in their life, would it not merit a mention, surely they are not ashamed, wouldn't it be a good opportunity to witness?

I guess it's the same type-thing as classmates.com her in the United States. I saw quite a few dubs I know and none of them mention their JW faith either.

Did anyone just get tired?
by woodmonkey induring my days as a witness, which was only about 10 years ending circa 1981, most of my memories revolve around how totally exhausted i always felt.
toward the last, i was dragging my family out to the five meetings a week and working fulltime and getting my quota of publisher hours on the little sheet every month, even doing the temporary pioneering bit now and again.
when i had the ministry school, i even worked a four day week to be able to give every talk on the program in case someone did not show up, which frequently happened in our little congregation west of fort worth, tx.

he said that while jesus was praying to god just before his arrest he was praying that he die in a different situation.

Mary I too agree with your explanation. It makes more sense. As I said before, I thought that was always the teaching.
Jesus feeling moments of weakness before his cruel death and yet he still goes through with it. That would prove that perfect man can obey God.
But the fact that Jesus came from heaven and knew of his purpose on earth doesn't equal being the very first of God's human creation. Adam had no clue what was going on Jesus did.
So the whole ransome sacrafice doesn't add up to me in that sense. It never did. -

Hi Mouthy, I cannot think of the song title just now or any of the lyrics for that matter. But I know it was song #85. I don't have a songbook. I don't think I believe in the God the bible speaks of but I do believe there is something higher and bigger than us humans. But I still love the kingdom melodies and a lot of christian and gospel music.

There was an affair between an elder and a "depressed one"
The elder got a little too encouraging. Even at the KH he was always talking with her huddled in a corner somewhere.
Well it fianally all came out thank to Jah's holy spirit and the elder was forced to "step down." The elder and his family moved away, but, not too far.
The two families have to see each other at circuit assemblies to this day. That was back in the late 80's -

That is a very good point BB. But let's look at the latest WT for clrification. Here we see "friends" in the WT that b/c the apostles were sleeping while Jesus was praying we must conclude that after Jesus admonished them for sleeping he went off at some point and wrote down what had happened for fear it wouldn't make it in the JW's NWT of the holy scriptures. Some things must be done yourself. "Friends" where do you think the phrase "If you want something done right you must do it yourself" came from?
