long before the likes of watchtower apologetics, timothy white and greg stafford, and before the likes of e-watchman and twmc there was frank earl scott, a dentist who believed in his heart that jehovah's witnesses were the true israel of god, and attempted to prove it.

he wrote a few books, most on prophecy, he predicted armageddon for 1970 and when it didn't happen he was disfellowshipped, talk about double standards.

can't get over how good the new jet album get born is...there's a definate t-rex resurrection revival going on here....with a little ac/dc thrown in for good measure ..its awesome...some amazing acoustic guitar based guitar ballads too- a real ecclectic mix that hangs really well together..got to have the headphones on though as its got to be loud..now all i have to do is hope they get better before glastonbury.

What little things used to excite you as a JW?

i would get excited when i was younger and would study the watchtower and see that this weeks study only had 19 paragraphs.

(made the study seem shorter,lol).

when a meeting would get canceled because of snow (which was rare) and i would get to stay home and watch a cheers or the cosby show.

Impromptu Get Together in Portland OR Saturday June 12

i'll be visiting portland this weekend and have stirred up some interest in dinner/drinks on saturday night.

so far we have 8 people coming, 4 of them not on this list, but exjw's of the coolest variety and very fun!

so, in talking to odrade, we thought we would throw it out there that if anyone else is interested in joining us, we are prolly going to go to portland brewing around 6ish.. i do hope we can get up a party!
