Wasn't their something in the Kingdom Ministry that once said we should view what the GB say as if it came from the mouth of Jehovah?

Today's W.T on GB not being inspired is having ZERO impact on most J.W's
by Isambard Crater inthe congregation i attend had it's watchtower study on thursday night because of l.d.c work this week-end, and another congregation i have some not very spiritual friends in had their watchtower study on wednesday.
from what i have delicately prised out of people, the congregations loved the watchtower study this week, saying it was so encouraging and all the usual stuff, with no-one seeming to realise the g.b.
said they're not inspired, so the spirit int he past has moved them to teach wrong things, and all the other ideas excellently summed up on reddit.. today's watchtower will wash over the heads of most j.w's like it never even happened, the all remaining as loyal as ever, and it makes me so, so sad..

Would human settlement of Mars invalidate Bible prophecy?
by truthseeker ini don't think this topic has been discussed before but yesterday i read something to the effect that trump wants a human mission to mars to be completed within his presidency.. with that being said, the watchtower teaches that what started on earth ends on earth, in other words, the fall of adam and eve would end with the passing of the 1,000 year millennial reign when christ destroys all his enemies, rebellious "perfect" humans, and the devil and his demons who are let out the abyss for a short while.
he then hands the kingdom back to his father.
an elder in my old congregation once told us during a public talk that he was an ardent astronomer but then referenced the scripture where it says, "the earth he has given to the sons of men" (psalms 115:16).

An elder in my old congregation once told us during a public talk that he was an ardent astronomer but then referenced the scripture where it says, "The Earth he has given to the sons of men" (Psalms 115:16). He told us that man was breaking God's laws by leaving the Earth that Jehovah had given to humans and landing on the moon.
Acts 17:26 says "He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation."
My point is, that with all of Biblical prophecy focused on this planet, Earth, (people living at that time of writing had no idea the Earth was even a sphere), what would become of Bible prophecy once man really does land on Mars and establish a colony?

Russia banning JWs might not have the "persecution effect" this time
by truthseeker inrussia banning the organization might not have the same effect as the earlier ban did decades ago.. more and more people have access to the internet.
it only takes a few russian jws to start their google search for the first time to discover the truth about their religion.. questions might arise, such as "why is jehovah allowing this to happen?
consider too, the schism that happened when the romanian jws were cut off from brooklyn.

Consider too, the schism that happened when the Romanian JWs were cut off from Brooklyn. They ended up apostasizing.
Social media and the internet may not allow the persecution complex that JWs experienced under communist Russia.

God gave permission for Satan to rule this planet. The JWs say Satan was hurled down to heaven in 1914 but Satan was ruler of this planet when Jesus was alive otherwise how could he offer Jesus all the kingdoms on Earth?
In what year did God abdicate his responsibility to this planet and give it to his arch enemy? How can if be said that humans are being given time to try all forms on government when the Devil and his demons are ruling us? How is that a fair test? Even Paul said we gave a wrestling against wicked forces in heavenly places and against principalities.

Daniel 11
watchtower = King of the South
Putin = King of the North
11 “And the king of the south will become bitter and will go out and fight with him, that is, with the king of the north; and he will muster a large crowd, but the crowd will be given into that one’s hand. 12 And the crowd will be carried away. His heart will become exalted, and he will cause tens of thousands to fall; but he will not make use of his strong position.13 “And the king of the north will return and muster a crowd larger than the first; and at the end of the times, after some years, he will surely come with a large army and with many resources. 14 In those times many will stand up against the king of the south. “And the violent ones* among your people will be carried along to try making a vision come true; but they will stumble.15 “And the king of the north will come and throw up a siege rampart and capture a fortified city. And the arms* of the south will not stand, nor will his select men; and they will have no power to stand.

Russia is a sovereign nation and has every right to protect itself and its citizens from an abusive cult that has all the hallmarks of a fast spreading malignant cancer.
If the Russian authorities have read any of the Society's literature on end times prophecies they will have read that Watchtower considers Russia to be the "King of the North" who will have "to come all the way to his end." Extremist indeed!

saturday morning was a brief session then field ministry (which only a few performed ) and sunday sessions.. in the free time around the venue we just used to hang out socialising and eyeing up the girls.

I used to volunteer at Haysbridge (have I spelt that correctly) in Surrey. I did the cleaning and vacuuming, it was a great way to avoid boredom.
For the district conventions I volunteered at Southampton and Twickenham.
There is nothing social to look forward to in the the org. I think Facebook will replace what young JWs can't get from the hall.
