it's almost like they are trying to see just how far they can pull the rank and file before they snap.

The lure of paradise earth?
by little witch incan someone explain to me what the excititment is concerning paradise earth, as the dubs see it?
paradise seems to be the carrot on a stick for witnesses, but little information seems to be offered.
from what little discription they do give it seems to me to be a boring place to be.

I made a pinata
Pinatas are used in birthdays and are therefore pagan. Jehovah hates pinatas and hates those who use them. He will rid the world of pinata owning evildoers on the great day of his wrath.

In responce to your criticsm of Liberals, Yeru. Be thankful for Liberals. Conservatives at some point or another wanted to hold on to the following:
Slavery
Mercantilsm
Female Subordinance
Trial By Ordeal
Jim Crow
Execution of Sodomy Law Violators (including oral sex between married folks)
Illegality of Interracial Marriage
Murder of Scientists
yep, be glad there are still some people not afraid to be liberals. It's always Conservatives boo hooing about the destruction of society. :)

<sarcasm>Patio he just hasn't time to work dilliegently on all these worthy amenments.</sarcasm>. Once he's done making sure that hundreds more Americans die needlessly in Iraq, or maybe Syriah if the weather is good, then he can focus on domestic agenda.

So what you're saying is that the government can't give money to help homeless people get benefits from charities...
What I am saying is the government should not be funding religious organizations, no matter what they are up to. Any attempt to do so causes a lot of issues in deciding who get's the funds, and that goes over the line against the seperation of church and state. No amount of neocon apologetics or revisionist constitutional theory will change that.
Hypothetical Example. Gov't has X amount of dollars earmaked to give away to faith based initiatives. The Catholic Diocese of St. Louis wants to make a soup kitchen (B). Baptist Hospital needs an infusion of cash for the new cancer ward(C). The Church of Satan wants to set up a free daycare program for women forced to get off of welfare(A). All three programs are hoping for a grant of equal monetary value to initiate their programs. A=B=C. Now will we get this equal formala for dispersal of funds?(Z)
Z=[(X-(A+B+C)/3]
Yeah right.
Seriously though, I'm glad you're better.

Ralph Nader Running?

Patio
The ABB idea is dangerous because it requires voting but not on the issues. Once in Germany there were a lot of people who thought ANY kind of government would be better then the Wiemar republic. They were nearly right. Better to vote for whoever you find as a better candidate, IMHO. They all become an a$$holes once elected, anyway. :o)
Bush at best has four more years. If he's reelected, his pandering to the extreme right is going to split his party in two. Already he's had at least one major defection in his first term. In four years Bush has betrayed fiscal conservatives. They won't forget the insult, nor the damage and I doubt very much they will often want to be in the same boat as the idiotic Christian right hawks who applauded his every move.

The DNC will pick a boring waffler like Kerry just like they did with Gore, then blame it on the Greens.

Democraticans and Republicrats are just going to have to stop whining about spoiler votes and accept the fact that the two party system is nearly over. Libertarian presidental candidates are consistantly getting hundreds of thousands of votes. for decades now. It's only a matter of time till they get a break-out candidate like Nadar and start posting large voter turnout also. The Greens may not hit big this time, as some greens will take Kucinich's appeal and vote Democrat just out of ABB syndrome, but they'll be back in 2008. The two party system is over.
