any flag aint worth vomiting over, unless its maybe a nazi flag, and even then that's a waste of lunch. Yep, you've got a little JW-Hangover.

New policy about appointing elders
by XQsThaiPoes in.
a po i know said that now the wts makes them do back ground checks and ask every congo the person has ever attended approve them before the send the letter to the wts.
i think this could be because of the child abuse thing.

Ramble Here, Just off Load Thoughts, Talk Bollocks:
by Celtic insometimes it be good to write just completely unjudgementally.
feel free to do this here, on this thread, talk bollocks, talk bullshit, take nothing seriously, have fun with what and who you are, frollick with words and make them dance if need be.. any commonsense thread is immediately disallowed.
simply write fun and let words tumble forth, cascade upon your typing fingers.. this is your space and no one will judge you at all for what you write.. if someone is dumb enough to ask anything not pertaining to enjoyable daftness, celtic will rampantly inspire in his mind, complete junkish compliments to ranckle your mind, until you write absurdity.. there be fun out there, who first?

They arrange the eyes in a noneucledian geometric pattern around the hallway leading to Louis Armstrong's house, a gift of state for visiting babboons. Fireflies breakdance. Over soft loudspeakers floating from Montgolfier balloons, the sweet sound of hairs being plucked from a nostril is broadcast. They call it magnified sound. It's been approved for distribution. Being that the sky is powered by flames and silk, the night will function. As Guillaume would say, when it needed to be said, sun throat cut.

when I was "counseled" for having a beard back in 97 or so (on my way out), it was said to me I could have a beard or whatever, but I could not give talks if I did. There reasoning came from the "Theocratic Ministry School Guidebook". If it hasn't been changed since then, that's still the answer.

Did you wear your badge outside the convention, so as to "give a witness?"
by truthseeker inthis year at the dc, we were expressly told to wear our badges at all times, even when going to a restaurant or some place else, so we could "give a witness.".
did any of you hear follow through with this arrangement?
did you have one of those "fantastic" experiences, when someone commented on your badge?.

I rarely wore that damned thing even at the assembly. I was always "forgetting" to order one.

Roxy Music: Pajamarama. I hadn't heard this song for a long time, but when I finally did, I suddenly remembered going to look at some property with my parents which they didn't buy. I described the property to my parents from my memory, and the fact that I was perched on my dad's shoulders. Sure enough it happened, and I was about 2 at the time.
XTC, "Chalkhill's and Children" 1989 on a boatride back to a campground, multifamily vacation, best friend's sister I had a crush on, rests her head on my shoulder to take a nap in the moonlight, while I played a cassette on my walkman loud enough for her to hear though my own headphones. I never told her I had the biggest crush on her. If you're readin this in your corner of the globe, hello Emily.
Level 42, "Overtime". Had this lousy job at a bindery. Played that song a lot at home.
Mapletime Rag: My oldest daughter loved that piece when she was just a baby.
well that's some

My grandmother was in the Holiness Church up in the appalachian mountains (no she didn't handle snakes), and she spoke in tongues when she got the spirit. It wasn't any kind of language.

Would You Go Back To A Kingdom Hall For A Funeral or Wedding?
by minimus inlet's say one of your relatives either died or invited you to a wedding at a hall, would you go?
-
gitasatsangha
I would certanily go back for a funeral, if it were a relative (I don't have any close friends still inside, just relatives). A wedding.. well, in the astronomically unlikely event my kids ever decided to be witnesses, maybe, otherwise no.
