Study with an Elder - propose a question.
by CitizenofEarth inhello there.. as some of you might remember i am keeping my facade up by "studying" with an elder.
this study however is more of a session where i put hard questions about the org, doctrine and so on, on the table.
the time has come for the next session in a couple of days, and i have quite frankly lost the will to keep digging up things that just shouldn't be happening.

Ask him why "leukozytes", white blood cells are forbidden for medical use of a JW.
On the other hand for newborn babies, there are more leukozytes in mothermilk than in the same amount of blood.

So now they mention telephone, text messages, letters, emails, social media.
In other words. Out of your love "completely" isolate your family member who already lost all his friends and might have a tendency to depression. Some in this state are even considering suicide.
But never ever take their phone call or reply to their text message.
It is as to erase a person.
To all those who are in these situations. You can be proud of you to have had the courage to get out. And we all here in this forum care for you.

Jephtah sacrificing his daughter as a "burnt offering."
Saul and his men having to kill all of the Amalekites. The bible says that "loving" Jhwh even ordered the babies to be killed by the sword.

My disassociation story
by Roger Kirkpatrick infollowing is a summary of events leading up to my decision to disassociate from jehovah's witnesses and the unforeseen results of that decision.. a young man named joel engardio produced a documentary about jehovah's witnesses called "knocking" which aired nationally on pbs.
i purchased the dvd from joel before it was even released and we exchanged emails.
joel had been raised by his jw mother and had been active in jw activities during his adolescence, but he was never baptized as a jw.

Thanks for your story and welcome.
You are for sure a person who is living by your conscience and you are courageous.
I was df'd for apostasy and my wife separated also because I didn't follow the org anymore.

by freemindfade init looks like these attacks in europe are going from weekly, to daily, it literally gives me chills to think about traveling to europe with my family.

Told My Parents Yesterday That I Don't Want to Be a JW
by Saethydd ini wasn't entirely sure what to expect when i made the decision to tell my parents how i really feel, but i was prepared for the worst, fortunately, it didn't come to that.
after i told them i didn't want to go to the meetings anymore it led to a long talk with them.
they made a number of irksome and woefully uninformed statements but at least they were not aggressive and have said that they won't force me to move out over this, though, i can tell they are hoping they can convince me to "accept the truth," as long as i still live with them.

Very well... you are a courageous young person.
Make it known to them, that you love them no matter what they believe. And that you respect their religious feelings and that you like yours to be respected too.
To do that in general it is better that you don't try to convince from your position.
Sometimes discussions come... but then tell them "I feel that way....."
Their believe in Jehovah is obviously their purpose of life. They don't understand (at the moment) that life can even more be meaningful, when you believe differently.
All the best and good luck.
I am df'd and my parents still treat me the same as before.

How long has it been since you have seen your family?
by Christian Gutierrez inhowdy guys!
so how long has it been since you have seen your jw family or friends?
or do you even care to have them in your life anymore?
-

Hi Christian
I was with my parents just this evening and next weekend they will come with me to be with my son. I am divorced and spend every second weekend with him.
They do that, even though I was disfellowshipped for apostasy and they are good members of their JW congregation. We respect each others beliefs and every thing goes well.
I am proud of them, that they go against the shunning rules, even openly showing that.
I feel very much for all those of you who are not in such a lucky position. I think of you.
I am very happy to be able to freely live according to my conscience. That I am officially out of the org is a great thing for me.
And Christian and Katja, I love your videos. You are such a help for doubting JWs but also for those like me who already left. Thank you.
Love from Switzerland
Dani

Crazyguy:
I think Willi Diehl compares his situation with how someone disfellowshipped (later) is treated. He just wanted to bring the point across that they were treated as outcasts and some brothers didn't speak to them for being married.
I knew him personally. It was a very loving brother.
However he was loyal to the organisation for his whole life and I think died at Bethel with more about a 100 years old.
So he probably didn't go further in his critical thinking skills.
