the annual meeting of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses will be in october 2014.. .. in november 2013, just after the last one they published this now famous statement in the 15th of november 2013 watchtower page 16 paragraph 17 says:.
"at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.".

i have been inactive for going on five years after an accerated fade.
my wife followed shortly after.
we recently went to visit her parents that know that we don't go to the meetings, and it bothers them but they don't know what to do, as they really can't do much.
You have a great daughter.
like all the best comedy this is hilarious and agonising in equal measure.. if you have not bookmarked the jehovah's trumpet blog do it now.. shunning makes us joyful .... "fiends, we are the happiest people on earth because of true worship, and this includes the practice of shunning our closest loved ones...".
Now I read some other jehovahstrumpet blogs.
Great satire.
Just hilarious the stoey about the conjoined twins.

As I read it, I just thought it's a joke, satire.
Now I am confused. Is Jehovah's trumpet satire, or do they mean what they say and are unwillingly satirical?
this is a new article that we've just published:.

Last decembee I told the elders all my reasons why the blood doctrine is wrong and that I would accept blood in an emergency.
In April they asked me officially the loyalty question if I accept that the gb is the fds and that their teaching is from god. I gave them a diplomatic answer.
This week they called me, that from my answer they feel I don't accept fds doctrine. They will call me today to state what effects this will have. I will clearly tell them that I would accept blood for myself and my boy in a matter of life and death.
We will see if there is NO df, NO da, NO consequences for that.
hello everyone..... i've been thinking a lot lately, when i have a chance to be alone my mind immediately comes to the topic at hand-- i don't want to die.
what would happen to my precious little girls?
but i'm so scared that it's going to happen.
Hi losingit
You seem to be a great mother.
You care and want the best for your children. Go on with this attitude.
Of course, on your shoulders lies a lot of responsibility. This gives you worrysome thoughts and feelings.
We all might one day or the other think about death. Some are really afraid of death. Especially as we come from a JW background and believed about endless life in a paradise, it can be depressing not to know what comes after death.
I can tell you what took my fear of death. I read a lot of accounts about "near death experiences." After reading a lot of personal near death experiences I am not afraid anymore. In fact I really believe now that there is a "personal" creator, god, force of life or whatever you call him. It convinced me that this god is all encompassing unconditional love and he wants us just to show love and compassion in our life. And he cares for you and your children. A heart moving experience of a little boy (Colton) you can read in his account in the book "Heaven is for real" by his father Todd Burpo.
Even though I lost my religion (JW) I didn't loose my faith. I pray to and thank my creator, just in a different way than before as a JW.
I wish you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy. Try to calm down and relax.
i've been given permission to post news of our friend.. kate hasn't been very well.
not well at all.
i think much of it has been a delayed reaction to her df'ing, the general fallout when leaving the wtbs and family issues.. i just wanted to give you guys the heads up and give you a chance to show how much we care about her.. thanks for listening..
Dear Kate, Sam,
I think of you and wish you a lot of strength.
I know how hard it is to be separated from your child.
This will not be permanently. Your children will know what wonderful mum they have.
Love
Daniel
pope francis assures atheists: you dont have to believe in god to go to heaven.

in comments likely to enhance his progressive reputation, pope francis has written a long, open letter to the founder of la repubblica newspaper, eugenio scalfari, stating that non-believers would be forgiven by god if they followed their consciences.. responding to a list of questions published in the paper by mr scalfari, who is not a roman catholic, francis wrote: you ask me if the god of the christians forgives those who dont believe and who dont seek the faith.
WT leaders should take an example of thus humble man.
But I am sure they would never say something like that. Rather they believe that God destroys all non believers and the birds will eat their body parts.
i never believed in evolution as i thought it didn't make sense and that what was proposed was simply impossible.
how could an environment alter an organism's dna?
as we can see however, bacteria cannot become resistance to antibiotics.
Obviously you seem to be very proud to go to college. That's fine. College is great and to study evolution in detail. I agree with you that most people don't understand evolution correctly. Maybe I also don't understand it correctly. That's why I am reading books and scientific articles to at least understand it basically.
Even scientists and your textbook writers don't understand all mechanisms how species adapt to their environment. But they do. DNA and genes are affected even by experiences a creature has. Even your genes might be affected by the experiences your grandfather had.
Inform yourself about "Epigenetics."
And a word to you.
Why are you so dogmatic? We have to cope from the effects of a dogmatic religion. Be open for other views and respectful. There is no need to brag about your college education.
And by the way. In 10 years your 'holy' textbook might be outdated.

Species adapt in their evolution to the environment.
The newer field of epigenetics shows this clearly. There is a lot to be researched concerning this, as there still many unknown things for scientist exactly 'how' dna and genes are changed and 'how' environmental factors change it.
