  We will not state from what city we got this picture from, but it was taken by a person who is NOT A WITNESS, who was interested in the publications and had to wait more than 10 minutes so that a brother would appear and help him.

  The carts should not be left unattended brothers, to do other private activities. If ther is a need to go to the washroom, it can be done taking turns. The cart is not a Jehovah's witness, it is us the people.

  Reprints vs. Originals?

  i have downloaded two different versions it seems of the watchtower of 1879: there is a version available online which has all of the text from 1879 to 1916, and it seems like it has a lot more than the reprints!

  the reprints admit that they have excluded some material... so i was wondering if anyone had a scan of the originals?.

  I would like to get a picture or a scan of the supplement to the July 1879 Watchtower. The text reads like this:

  And "Herald of Christ's Presence."

  ==========
  To the readers of the "HERALD OF THE MORNING,"
  DEAR FRIENDS: My connection with the "Herald" having been terminated rather
  suddenly, and under circumstances which must seem rather remarkable and peculiar to
  you, I feel it to be a duty both to you and to myself to offer an explanation of the
  manner of withdrawal and my reasons for so doing. Quite a number who were
  personally acquainted with me thought there must be more of the story to tell, and I
  have received a number of letters asking an explanation. To these inquiries and to many
  unexpressed of similar character, let me offer the following statement:

  If someone has a PDF file with the scan of that supplement, or the entire original July 1879 issue, that would be appreciated.

  were you ever troubled by the lack of knowledge from others who were serving?

  as an example, i spoke to an elder who recently finished the elder's school.

  I was never an elder, but it's amazing what people will gloss over. For example, while I was reading the Bible, I came to see that Luke's account contradicts the other accounts on whether Judas was at the last meal or not. Every JW who I have talked to about it, hadn't seen that.

  One JW I talked to, when I asked him if he had read that part in Luke, looked at me with shock and said, I just read the whole NT 4 times and I didn't see this!

  They have rose-colored glasses with the Bible and with their literature...

  I just saw partly 1984, and wow does it ever have paralels with the JW's!!

  Also, I saw "The village" and it made me really think... how the world can be kept from knowing information.

  I also would add "Oblivion" to the list...

  Every watchtower, awake, etc printed kills 48,000 trees!

  with the watchtower having a 25million monthly print, here is the breakdown.

  1 tree will make 8,333 sheets of paper.

  each watchtower, atleast the last i had, had around 16 sheets.

  Also, the math may be wrong, since the number given (48,000 trees) is for the CURRENT printing... 100 years ago they printed much less... so a more accurate number would include a "ramping" of the amount of paper...

  But the point is, it's a waste of paper to write so many lies...

  What Did You Do With All Your Watchtower Publications?

  i needed room when i moved so i sadly threw my entire library away.

  i mentioned this to an exjw.

  he and his wife took all the hundreds of books, including bound volumes from the 1800s and are now using them for research and proof of watchtower lies.. what did you do with your books?.

  thomasaquinas, could you go to archive.org and maybe think about having them scan some of the material? You might have some material that no one else has...

  Golden Ages, for example, are notoriously hard to find anywhere.

  They scan your items, and then return them to you of course.
