  there's been too much volatile stuff going around, and a few folks appear tetchy.. can we drop any issues, and just enjoy a ((((group hug)))) for a moment.... ((((hugs to everyone)))).

  coz regardless of the ups and downs, this place is a little like the family i lost.... sometimes i need to take a step back, have a break and some quiet time, but that's ok, too.. every blessing to everyone,.

  Story Time

  hey--i could really use some input from parents and kids at heart.. i am volunteering to do a story time this saturday.

  i am supposed to read whatever i want to the kids for an hour.

  i left a message that i would take requests for stories, but so far no one has made any suggestions.. i am just wondering what some of you would suggest i read.

  Louis Sachers books are wonderful! Especially Holes! It's about this kid Stanley Yelnats, he got arrested for stealing a famous baseball players shoes, Sweet Feet. And he got a choice of going to jail or Camp Green Lake. So he chose Camp Green Lake, and it was a bad camp, because the warden made all the boys dig holes. And the rest of the story is what happens to him at camp green lake.

  You'll really like the book 'cause its a real page turner. ( On the second to the last sentance, and the last sentance, my dad gave me the idea.)

  School Lunches... Let's share ideas!!

  i'm sure i'm not the only mom here who would love to exchange ideas for kids' school lunches.

  i don't know about anyone else, but my daughters' school (junior kindergarden - grade 8) has a nut-free policy that requires compliance for the good of the kids who have severe allergies to nuts.

  pre-packaged foods have to be carefully examined for even traces of nuts.

  I like to bring, peanut butter and bannana sandwiches, gouda cheese and crackers, funyuns, bugles, pringles, apple slices, grapes, chocolate chip cookies, Hostess cupcakes, and brownies.
