by nicolaou ini never heard of any sister having an abortion - doesn't mean it didn't happen, just that i never heard of one.. i've personally known child abusers, closet gays, drunks and thieves all within my time at just 2 congregations.
i know one brother who hid the fact he had blood transfusions at a critical time.
now i'm certainly not lumping in an abortion with acts of abuse or dishonesty, and for the record i don't consider it a 'sin' (whatever that is).

Everyone here seems really nice, LeavingWT and I have similar political views so it's always fun to talk to someone like that. Jamie Bowers is really great, I'm closer with the folks on youtube. I think that's because I can physically see who I'm talking to, I think I'm almost closer with alot of them than I am with my own real life friends. My friends are still in the going out and party, trying to hook up with girls phase of their life, I'm married for 6 years now, have a small child and one on the way. I'm well passed that phase. I'm home at night, and once Madeline goes to bed I'm looking to unwind which Youtube does for me.

he posted the whole album to download.. i doubt the story obviously but since there's alot of beatles fans on the board i figured i'd share it with all of you.

The mashups for the most part sound to me like an atonal, chaotic mess.

Yeah I had a few rumors about me. The elders actually put a stop to it in my case. I listened to underground hardcore music quite a bit when I was younger so I got rumors that I was deeply immersed in Heavy Metal and as such was worshipping the devil. I put the kaibosh on that when in a group talked about how much I hated glam 80's hair metal which everyone assumed was what heavy metal was. I had a rumor about me having a prince albert (no idea how anyone would say they knew that one. The last rumor that the elders killed off was that I was having sex with several different girls. An elder and a ministerial servant followed me for the day, I ended up nearly calling the police on them because I saw them following me (my mom ran out and told them to leave because I was calling the cops), but they saw that I woke up, went to school, went back home, went to work, and went back home again. This was the period where I told people I didn't believe anymore and no one was talking to me and I didn't have any worldly friends yet. So literally I didnt' do anything but go to school and go home.

From what I remember this scripture is clarified in Chronicles and told differently. So they ignore the Samuel story and go for the Chronicles version.
It's like the census that King David did, at first God told him to do it with evil spirit, then it was Satan that made him do it. I'm pretty sure it would be the same there.

Tuesday- Do you think that Thomas Harris should be forced to 'submit' to counseling? I mean after all decapitating someone and eating their dead body is surely a worse crime isn't it? Yet no one suggested that he be forced to 'submit' to counselling do they?
You make a good point here. I concede that yes it is somewhat of a double standard. I do think the writers of Saw need counseling LOL. I think in this case if I were the judge I would send him to counseling to try and appease everyone in the situation. He probably doesn't need counseling or he might need counseling. This is the case of better safe than sorry. I think it also depends on the stories, how often, how many to see if he's constantly dwelling on this fantasy. It would be like if someone was writing rape fantasies constantly in gory details and so forth, they might need to seek counseling in case they decide to make the fantasy a reality or how to better deal with the fantasy. Or the therapist could see the subject and simply deem them as no threat whatsoever and this is a creative outlet. In which case the man would be free to go without penalty.

This is kind of crazy, I'm a bit torn in that I think it should be addressed about writing the stories. But jail time and being labeled a sex offender is a bit much. I think if he submits to counseling that should be the end of it.

Crudely animated JW Debate...

the jw was really arrogant and i figured i should bring it to everyone's attention that he did horrible in the debate lol.
it's crudely animated, it's funny due to a chipmunk voice, but people have said they can learn from the technique i used in disarming every one of the usual jw techniques for "winning" biblical debates.

Well then, next time I'm booked in Chicago for a show I'll have to try and make a stop by. Wish I knew about the good ol' ex-JWs in the area when I lived in Kentucky, it might have made the stay more enjoyable.
