  A conversation with a JW on the Generation change

  i don't post here much, so hopefully i put this in the right section.

  if not, let me know.. i've emailed my aunt about the new generation change, just to see her reaction to it and what her mindset is.

  i tried to keep it simple and not attack her personally as she has a heart of gold and has been a jw 40+ years.

  "Since this system hasn't ended yet, and it's lasted longer than a literal generation as it is commonly defined, and since the scriptures say that God cannot lie....how would you define 'generation' in Matthew 24:34?"

  I would answer this with "I would continue to define this generation as a literal generation and say that generation hasn't arrived yet." Keep it simple. If this were someone that I wasn't related to I would be sarcastic about how my mind is blown at the idea that you can talk for more than 6 paragraphs about how the definition of a word can change four or five different times and still not have it right.

  ok best sex scenes in movies are up right now, how about songs that have been out for years then used in a movie and will always be tied to that movie???.

  my fav is this one.... never heard the song the same way.

  The whole mirror scene from Groucho and Harpo is seriously one of the funniest things I've ever seen. We tried to pay homage to it in a wrestling thing I did a while ago but we failed miserably.

  In total agreement on the Marx brothers thing. For Rocky vs. Space Oddesey, you're talking to a child of the 80's there's really no question here for me. Rocky is still my idol. I still aim to be in the kind of shape Stallone was in for Rocky IV or Rocky III.

  hey folks, so i'm trapped on the couch with a baby that will only sleep directly next to me so i thought i'd do some photshop fun stuff.

  i ended up throwing this on a t-shirt and thought everyone here would get a kick out of it.

  WT Video game ideas

  i wonder if anyone on this forum can design simple games?

  i was thinking it would be funny to have some out there.

  such as instead of "paperboy", could make "watchtowerboy", flinging watchtowers at people, etc.

  The Paperboy idea I'm fairly sure you could handle with just YY-CHR and a good hex editor.

  I know someone who is working on a video game that's like a role-playing game set in dub-land. I'm learning assembly so I can make an old school NES game but I really haven't thought of anything JW related. Though if I were going to do one I would probably make something like Contra saying that the WT finally flipped it's lid and declared war on all Apostates. Now the Apostates have to go through successive levels until they reach the Governing Body.

  I had a couple of other ideas I was thinking of making shirts out of. Though that keychain gives me an idea of putting the actual blood transfusion doctrine on a keychain. Something like "No Blood Transfusion, will only accept red blood cells with removed membranes floating in a solution of albumin". I'll have to work on it to make it incredibly long, drawn-out and convoluted.

  MP3s !!! 2010-2011 DC TALKS

  commentary on mp3s: (in addition to circulate as you see fit!).

  in light of the wts's recent attempts to conceal it's talks from broader inspection and documentation, mp3s to the public are now mostly the works of the 'conscious class' and those exjws who force themselves to endure hours upon hours of control-laced presentations.

  Australian brothers VERY negative comments regarding new "generations" ... some leaving Bethel..will this blow up in the Watchtowers face?

  a brother i spoke with from bethel to me seemed discouraged and lacking zeal latley...he spoke of leaving which shocked me since he was there for decades...he left to get a full time job!!!

  it was his whole reason for living since i've known him!

  others have said the new doctrine of "blended generations" of anionted seeing armagedon is "confusing" or "i just don't get it"...one brother my only close friend is furious and said i qoute..."they seem to be blowing smoke up our ass!

  I have a feeling there will be more and more reactions like this as the whole thing sinks in.

  Then again I have a very positive outlook on humans, and assume they're rather intelligent. I've been wrong a whole lot though ;)
