  November AWAKE!

  well i've just had a quick read through the november awake on jw.org.

  usual twaddle but they must have run out of 'scientists' for their monthly feature, we have a pianist this month.. sexting, morals and the menopause all there to keep you facinated for ten minutes.. george.

  What is with Jeremiah 5:8 in the NWT

  as already posted im agnostic... but i find the texts of the bible the world's most famous book.. .

  check jeremiah 5:8 out in the nwt.

  while thismight now be shocking in the judean prophets what is shocking is this is a mojor addtion to the text to make it sound vile.

  This makes for really fascinating reading. Something I find interesting is how much the translation differ and indeed why they differ so thank you. This is a really good place to start.

  Sadly true that they are indeed a rarity now. Car boot sales I suppose are always good bets.

  NeverKnew, we do indeed sound similar. Faith I have a deep respect, passion and love for. Religion less so, in as much as I see faith as being the personal belief and religion being the indoctrinal organisation, the form of governance if you will.

  Wasanelder Once and Happy@Last , thank you. I believe if we stop seeking and learning, then we lose our way. We lose our purpose. We become complacent and stop appreciating life. I'm learning about JWs as I did with Catholisism, to take from it what is right and needed and leave behind the dross designed to just keep people in line.
