I think they're definitely loosing their grip, slowly. I think people's perception of the GB's elevated spiritual authority is dangling by a thread. But I don't think the GB's perception of themselves has changed one iota. Example: Tony's recent OBEY video.

I was pondering this just yesterday. I can foresee COs or groups of elders begin to question the GB and demand answers for all the mess going on (particularly money matters). Eventually the GB will be backed into a corner with no defense. They will come out swinging with all the elevated bluster they can manage, "HOW DARE you question Jehovah's authority!"

i think it was punkofnice who came up with the phrase, "apathy carts".

how apropos.. yesterday i encountered a car group of witnesses in my community as i was coming home from the gym.

actually, their van was blocking me from entering my driveway.

My RC hearing brought forward. Will be in two weeks

through this forum of wonderful freaks, i have met someone who is coming with me to my hearing.

initially i was slated for next year, but will be attending in two weeks time.

all is in place from travel vouchers, support, where to go ............very efficient and well done.

Pete Zahut: I would like them to be required by law to make a public announcement that acknowledges to their members and to the general public that there is a problem within the organization and offer an apology to those who have been affected by it and an outline of what they plan to do about it.

That would be the most agonizing punishment imaginable for the GB. They would rather bankrupt the entire corporation than be diminished into making a public apology for their ineptitude.

there was a letter sent to elders in australia on 18th november 2015 asking for details of publishers that are solicitors, barristers and accountants.

what would be their motive for these details?

the rest of the letter outlines 8 specific pieces of information to compile and send to bethel's legal department, and reiterates to collect the information only be "as you understand, without consulting the publisher.

in the new 03/2016 study watchtower there is a picture description:a mature young person does not act like a friend of god at the kingdom hall but a friend of the world at school.

the german issue saysein reifer junger mensch verhalt sich im konigreichssaal nicht wie ein freund jehovas und in der schule wie ein freund der welt.

Yesterday I encountered a car group of Witnesses in my community as I was coming home from the gym. Actually, their van was blocking me from entering my driveway. I saw that they had just left my doorstep and were climbing back into the van. I waited patiently, even smiled politely. As the driver pulled forward he gave me an obvious apologetic look for blocking the drive. I winked, nodded... no harm done.

I didn't recognize any of them. I know they didn't recognize me. Why didn't they come back to my door after they knew I was home. I saw them pull into my neighbor's drives as they worked on down the street, but they never came back to the house where they KNEW someone was home now.

Apathy needs no cart.
