i guess he's thinkin jehovah's gonna roast them like a hot dogs burned to a charred ruination over a fire.
Does that video still exist somewhere?
did anyone experience a disassociation announcement during the public meeting instead during the service meeting?.
in my case it was announced the next day that we submitted our letter and this was on sunday instead of waiting for the service meeting on thursday..
...right from a pro-jw site in response to a post about the relative seriousness of homosexuality.
all you can do is reason from the scriptures, which you appear to have done.
homosexuality is as serious as bestiality, or adultery and fornication.
fulltimestudent
The Christian argument, as perhaps first posited by Paul in Romans 1:26.27, is that same sex sexual activities are, "contrary to nature."
I'm pretty sure Paul's "contrary to nature" comment was directed specifically toward those who had an established inclination, "natural use" toward the opposite sex. Paul did not say homosexuality was contrary to nature. He said that violating your own sexual orientation so as to engage in other sexual activity was contrary to nature.
If you read the entire context of this passage, you find that all the things listed, including unnatural sex acts, were being performed as religious rites.
This was not a broad condemnation of HOMOSEXUALS, rather, it was a condemnation of a bunch of perverted HETEROSEXUALS.
judge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.
What kind of teeth does this San Diego court have to MAKE Watchtower pay the bill?
If it doesn't have the authority to MAKE Watchtower hand over the document (well, it hasn't been able to thus far),.... what would be the next step for this court?

i don't believe the article says he's a jw, but he is..
Unless OP knows the driver personally, I see no evidence of JW here.
this week has been a really difficult past couple of days.
waking up to the news on sunday that some jihadist jackass had slaughtered so many of my lgbt brothers and sisters left me reeling and in tears.
we're a community with common cause and a common struggle and it's immensely painful to see the loss of so many young and beautiful lives.
I think after the dust settles this event will trigger a national conversation.
Regarding the preachers of hate - “The real tragedy is more of them didn’t die” - I say give them a bullhorn and let them run loose. While people like that will always find a niche audience to nod in support, the vast majority of society, CIVILIZED SOCIETY sees them for the monsters they are and it only serves our best interests in the long run. Let them speak as loudly as they wish while we sit back and watch them systematically dismantle their own foundation out from under themselves.
Religion is neutered and toothless. They're too stupid to know they're doing it to themselves.
Best of success with your protest.
great news!.
we are free!.
as of the 9th of june, me and my dear wife mrs. eden handed over our letters of disassociation at bethel in portugal, thus making official our departure from the jehovah's witnesses.
Just want to add my voice to the choir.
there doing this right under my nose but i just found out.
not sure what to do but would like your help on getting me wt information on my headship role and how they shouldn't be doing this with out my permission.
also would like some help on showing my son the ramifications on what happens to someone when they get baptized and how they'll expect him to treat me.
Good to hear it.

This video broke my heart. I was also a music student in high school - encouraged all the way by my teachers, parents, applauded by those in the congregation who heard me play (I used to play the piano for the congregation), until the scholarship offers started rolling in. One from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, (they assumed I was Mormon), another from my home town college, Idaho State University, and the other from the Phil Mattson School of Music in Spokane, Washington.
The elders stepped in and convinced me to completely withdraw from the trap of Satan's world and dedicate myself to the full time ministry, lest I die at Armageddon, that I didn't even graduate from high school by the end of it.
I swallowed the hook 1000 percent.
