Sometimes I did, most of the time I hated them.

Was There Ever A Circuit Overseer That You Couldn't Stand?
by minimus ini know this has been discussed before but i think a fresh thread on this will be enjoyable.

Will Heath from Leicester circuit.
He was an ignorant git and laughed like Mutely. Yet another C/O and wife that were so clearly up their own backsides it was unbelievable.
C/O's were meant to encourage the flock, yet they just always seemed to hang around with the other well to do Witness families, just to 'keep in' with the 'in' crowd.
Do you remember how people used to suck up to them ALL THE TIME ?

You said you have never been a JW,so who do you think you are comming here and telling us what we feel?
Erm, no I didn't say that. This is what I said :
I am not a Jehovahs Witness and I am in no religion
In another post, I wrote :
I fully understand the Witness experience, being an active Witness for many years
So you see I was an active JW for many years and I have just as much right as you to comment on any issue that is JW related.
I do not believe you are interested in other people's feelings or experiences
Now who is being judgemental ? You judge me by means of a few words and statements that I have wrote in this forum ? You know nothing about the person that I am, so by judging me on my feelings you instantly fall into the trap you yourself mention :
I am what I am. Unlike you, I do not sit in judgment on others.
Either you were NEVER "in" deep......or never had family and friends in.
Wrong on both counts. Firstly, I was an active witness for over 19 years and secondly most of the people I know quite personally are Jehovah's Witnesses. And I still have family that are Jehovah's Witnesses. I know all to well about these issues. -

It still affects us in ways you could never imagine.
Remember I was a Witness like you I know all to well the ways it affects you .
As to who I really am, this is me, Hamas, you dont need any other explanation. I started this post mainly out of sheer boredom and slightly because the subject had been playing on my mind for quite some time.
I'd never try to force my opinion on to anybody else, all I want to do is to offer advice like anybody else on the forum.

YIZUMAN !! I believe I saw that picture somewhere else but with different language. I think It used to say ' You're a Homo ! ' . Well it works well both ways.
Did you just forget it in one day, the day you decided to lose your religion?
No, you are right LyinEyes. I didn't decide to just lose my religion in one hour. It took time. But once I had decided, that was it. For me to continue to pondering over it would be a big waste of time.
Are you here to help others? To let them know that they should move on, and forget it
Thats right. The best thing these people can do is vanish the thought of the Watchtower forever. Let me just refer you to an earlier comment I made :
I feel that this is an excellent way of communicating with other ex JW's so in that way the site should be applauded.
So I agree with the purpose of this site. It is obviously a great help for those that are dealing with JW issues. But the time comes for everybody to move on. Im sorry to have to pick on Francois, but I recall that he in a previous post said that ' Watchtower doctrine means nothing to him now neither will it ever again' . Yet this is the kind of attitude that made me post this subject. Whats the point of being here when the Watchtower supposably means nothing to you ?
Im hard on nobody. Im just eager to find out why people continue to visit this forum when their Watchtower crumbled a long time back.I do not believe you are interested in other people's feelings or experiences. Your behavior so far strikes me as one who is hard on everyone but himself. I believe you started this thread as a bid to gain attention for yourself.

Be Wise :
Goodbye Hamas, don't expect too many replies again. Even if you try and make a nice smarmy comment in one of the spaces below it will be in vain.
Are you the forum spokesman already with a grand total of only 35 posts Be Wise ? Wow, better look out for you.
By the way, I think your acting like a school bonehead
Brother, you hurt me. . No , really. -

Answers to some questions directed at me :
DJ :
Hamas,
I don't remember you. I don't think that I like your new name. Why did you choose it? Are you making a mockery of terrorists or in support?
I dont support any kind of terrorism that kills innocent people. I am neither making a mockery of or supporting terrorism at all. If I wanted to support terrorism, I would have named myself 'Coalition'.
The above statement of yours is asinine. It reflects no compassion or understanding of the Witness experience
Wrong. I fully understand the Witness experience, being an active Witness for many years. My statement was merely an encouragement for people to ponder upon.
I submit that your participation in this site is amazingly hypocritical
You yourself are showing hypocrisy by this very statement.
Could Hamas be......You Know?
No !
LyinEyes :
You expected a reaction? What did that reaction do for you? How did it make you feel? Why do you care? Or do you care at all?
Like I said before, I didn't expect a reaction. If you would have read my posts you would see that the reaction I recieved was (a) expected and (b) able to back up my previous thoughts.
Losing ones religion is very similar to a death, you don't just up and forget about it and never think of it again
I did. -
