Swallowed my pride and had a good cry today
by Lady Lee inas some of you know i have been have a few health problems lately.. i went to the doctor today to pick up my application for a handicapped parking permit.
when we talked he said he would sign it for a year.. well he signed it as "permanent disability".
in one way this is good because if they don't figure out the problem and find a solution i won't have to keep applying for it.

((((Lee)))))
I wished that I could be of any help. I only can say 'you will survive, whatever will happen, you will find a way to be happy and enjoy what is left for you' You are seeing already possibilities for the future.
In a way, count your blessings (how few they may be) live is always worth to live.
regards,

Throw a cake in somebody's face, no way, if the cake is tasty I rather eat it.

Good for you, You are going to be subject in a whole new experience, sometimes helping with diapers, babysitting ?
enjoy it, can be a lot of fun without the responsibility. -

Loved & Lost?
by StinkyPantz indo you agree with this quote?
"'tis better to have loved and lost.
than never to have loved at all.
-
Country_Woman
I loved & lost, and it took 10 years to get over it.
Today I can think of it without pain or anger re. the way it ended.
I would never had missed it.
As Lady Lee said, I've learned from it.
You can change the word "love" into live.
Without love you merely exist. -

Are you posting while you are supposed to be working?
by Elsewhere in.
.
yeah... i do it all the time... sitting at work... but instead of working i'm reading and posting here.. anyone else guilty of this?
-
Country_Woman
yes, but then I worked from my home-place, when I haven't finished it, I have to do it another time - my boss doesn't mind when, as long as it has been done....

What Was The Nicest / Worst Thing That's Happened To You as a JW?
by minimus infor me, (at the time), being appointed at the age of 24 was my biggest happiness.....the worst thing was leaving my first congregation because certain people wanted me out.......were there any particular highs and lows that you will never forget about being a witness?

the nicest thing that happened to me was a drawing, given to me by a little boy age 7 years.
the worst was the funeral service for my mother in which my family was violated. -

Like so many others before, it's time for me to go as well - sigh......
by Holey_Cheeses*King_of_the juice. in.
that's right folks, and sorry to get the hopes up of some, but, contrary to what you may have supposed by the subject heading, mr. & mrs. cheeses are off to vanuatu for a week of rest and recreation, leaving friday.. coinciding with our recent 28th wedding anniversary and my upcoming 50th birthday, we decided to flit off to a tropical island for a break of the mundane routines of everyday life.. you all be good (or evil, whichever way you want to look at it), and remember - cheeses is watching.

I was prepared to say "don't D.A. yourself, just fade away so that you're able to attend the meetings again but instead of that:
Congratulations with both occasions.
Have fun -

Did you ever attend a NonJW Funeral?
by AuntieJane inmy brother died suddenly.
his funeral was in the catholic church.
his 2 jw children and their offspring actually stood in the back of the church, behind a glass wall, and observed the service.

most of the time, my family are not JW's.
Even the funeral of my (JW) mother, was a normal one. -
