Not everything in life is meant to be taken literally
That is true. Not everything, some things... Such as this.
I'm honestly baffled that you are being so cavalier with the facts. Put bluntly, the title as it stands is a lie. (and people were polite in pointing it out - seems daft to be so obdurate)

Do you miss the sense of superiority?
by Diest inthis is and odd topic but there is a part of me that really misses feeling that i knew more about the world than 99.9% of the people.
i spent so many years in school being the odd person because of religion.
i embraced it to some extent.

Yup. I miss knowing the meaning of life and the future.
Having all the answers is a warm fuzzy feeling.
I wouldn't go back either, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't find the position comfortable when I was in it.

@cofty - the answer to your question is: Yes.
@confused
@wasblind - Because the suggestion that teens have an adult trial was just what this thread needed to make it less wacko.

If you really didn't want the conversation to turn into one about god why do 3 of your last 4 post read like this:
Y U talk about god, godgodgod
Y U talk about god, godgodgod
Y U talk about god? Godgodgod.
Anyone might think you wanted to change the subject, since it was pointed out that you want them dead AND saved by jebus.

@unstop: "its very hard talking with ppl who, twist what you say"
I asked you: "So you think the death penalty is fine even if they cause no death?
Not trying to put words in your mouth, but it certainly sounds as if that's what you just said."
You replied: "sure why not?"
Oh how your words have been twisted...

@unstop:
"ohh boy: are you really that assanine"
It seems so.
"it has everything to do with this, your question was about the death penalty for someone who does not kill another, my example was just that"
No, your example was of a man raping and trying to kill a child - but failing.
We are talking about people trying to knock people out, but killing them.
"a 78 year old women was punched with the intenet to knock her out"
You say yourself that their intent was not to kill - the opposite of your example.
"i really dont want this thread to turn into a believers/non believers thing, this about us as people. because i could say that lucid is under reacting because from an evolution view point these teens did nothing wrong, because survial of the fittist"
I agree, god is not really needed in this discussion. I must say though that evolution has nothing to do with my opinions here any more than god does. (Also: until I post a reaction to the actual OP I wish you'd stop saying I'm under reacting. Unless you believe that anything less that calling for death is an under reaction?)
"i never sais anyone who hurts somebody, but in this case the intent is to knockout a person, which can highly kill that person"
Getting knocked out is not highly likely to kill you. (usually it's the fall that is fatal, not the punch... Not that it makes a difference to the blame, but it is true, I always find that to be important)
"and what about you? is this not survial of the fittist? tell me why it is immoral to you?"
If you honestly don't want the thread to turn into a thread about "If no god - whence morality" you might want to stop asking that...
And just for the record... My reaction to the actual OP is that the people taking part should be charged with assault. If the person punched dies it is a manslaughter case as far as I can see it. As you said, the intent is not to kill.

"sure why not?"
Quick - kill them before they kill somebody!!!!!!!!!!!!1111one (because that's not bloody stupid at all)
"what about a guy who kidnaps a 6 year old and rapes her slits her throat but emts bring her back?"
Good question, what about it? It has NOTHING to do with this discussion.
I'm off though, I'll leave you to chat about killing people for common assualt among yourselves.
