I always looked like one at the hall well at least until I started living on my own, then I bought all dresses above the knees. But even when living with my parents I would sneak miniskirts to school, along with halter tops and other scandelous wear.

What are the rules the WTS pharisees have burdended JWs with?
by berylblue inin another thread, mini questioned why the wts does not see that the gb and elders are like the pharisees.
what do you all think are the "rules" jws have been given that smack of pharisaical (is that a word?
) burdening and/or hypocricy?.

You shouldn't wear baggy jeans!!! They are the devil you know. For the past I would say 9 years, cause it started before I got married 6 years ago, at every assembly when they would talk about fads that we shouln't wear they always mentioned Baggy jeans. I mean, really they have been out of style for several years now, and really would 80's style super tight stretch jeans be any better? I think the society needs to hire a stylist before they start poking fun at a trend that is no longer A TREND!!!

perhaps, as many suspect, they didn't use them because they didn't have them?.
now we're being told that we'll have to be patient and give them time to find them.

Kingdom Hall talk about 9/11
by anti-absolutist ini was listening to a talk on www.freeminds.org where this circuit overseer was discussing the impact that the events in n.y.c.
had on the brothers at bethel.
the major reason it was on the site was different than this point but i found this appalling enough for it to stand out in my mind.. it amazed me that this person, in discussing what happened, constantly encouraged the listeners to imagine the effects that the "brothers in bethel" must have felt to have to see such horrific events.

Yeah, actually that is the reason I started pulling away. This is the biggest tragedy I have ever seen in my lifetime and was deeply affected by the thought of 3000 + lives being ended suddenly and the pain their family and friends must be feeling. At the KH for the next 2 weeks every prayer the brother asked for Jehovah to be with the families of the 6 (I hear the number is higher now) Jehovah Witnesses that were killed. Only 1 intelligent brother asked for Jehovah to be with all those who lost a loved one. 2 weeks and ONLY 1 prayer for everyone. We don't know the condition of anybody's heart and who are we to say they don't have god's approval, plus aren't christians supposed to show love towards all not just those related in the faith? Whole thing pissed me off royally.

JW Soap Opera Update.....
by ApagaLaLuz inmy mother informed me today that they disfellowshiped the po of my old hall, as well as the wife of one of the ministerial servants.
you guessed it, they were having an affair.
this came as no surprise to me because i always knew he was shady.

OMG, JT is that article for real? Have they changed their view? A year or so ago there was this talk at the assembly about what Sex really is. Is Oral or masterbation actually considered sex? (Cause so many were doing these substitutions before marriage, myself included ) Their answer there was it was all considered sex? How could they say that oral stimulation and manual stimulation are sex and not consider beastility or gay sex, not Sex?
