  Defamation of Character Lawsuits examples?

  ok. i think it is just about time to have to write a letter to my presiding overseer.

  in the letter i plan to state that i was under duress to get baptized at the age of 13. that this letter is confidential and protected under preacher/paritioner confidentiality and no one should be told about it.

  that i be removed as a publisher and that my baptisim as one of jw's be nullified.

I plan to also threaten a Defamation of Character lawsuit against the congregation and the society if any announcement is made. I have read on here that there have been cases like this brought before and that most of those baptized under 18 win their case where as most baptized over 18 lose. Does anyone know of any of the winning cases? I would like to include them in my letter. What I need:

  Name vs. WTBS or Cong name. Year Location

  i was just watching larry king live on cnn about these type of people.

  it was said that they are only about 25% accurate.

  have you ever had any experience with a psychics or what is your thoughts on these kind of people.

  I believe very few are legitimate. The ones who help the FBI (yes they do have people who do this), I believe are really in touch with something most of us are not. I think if you truly have this gift you would not charge for it like the majority of the fake ones do. I also think sometimes maybe it is just that these people can tap into a part of their brain 99% of us havent' figured out how to use yet. As a previous poster said, who knows, maybe it will be commonplace in the future.

  I was the only kid who didn't even know what 90210 was about because it was on Thursday night. I did tape it one time. Still today, it is such a pop culture reference, I still get pissed of because I am the only person in the group who doesn't get the joke.

  Oh, and Saturday morning cartoons.

  Hurr. Katrina and the WTS' slacking hand

  i work in a business that is dealing with the aftermath of hurricane katrina.

  in perusing a list of shelters in the affected areas i see civic centers, schools, several churches, but no kingdom halls (gasp!).

  While you do have some points you are missing a bit.

  The WT even though they aren't as big as (christendom) can manage to get magazines to KH throughout the country, could they not get some supplies as well in a time of need? They may not have tons of money but could they not organize something like the floodbuckets posted otherwise on here? It doesn't take a lot of money to help. Could they not make the halls a shelter? The point is they could do something, yet they are doing nothing. They will send work crews down in a few weeks to help rebuild a few of the JW homes and that is it. It is better than nothing at all, but a little effort goes a long way. They should put forth a bit of it. These people need us NOW not in a few weeks.

  those of you who have been to this year district conventions know that during the drama timothy's friend ionatan was telling him about their plans to go and study in athen.

  i keep wondering how watchtower dares to say such lies.

  Oh my god. The drama was really about Timithoy going to Athens University? Somebody else said that and I thought they were joking. What in the world?!! That is just crazy!!
