You're very welcome. Oh...and he's single. Gawd, I love Texas!
quite often we maintain a polite silence about others when we'd really like to tell them to shut the hell up, that they're pompous, or ignorant, or simply a pain in the ass.
"god, i can't stand reading any of his posts.
or, perhaps we really would like to say something really nice about someone, perhaps even a bit personal.

I'd have a beer with you. Don't know yet if I'd do tequila shots with you or not...Well, fortunately for you, I won't do tequila shots with anyone. I get way, way, way too crazy doing multiple shots.
See, now...there's that glint I was talking about earlier. Please do try and join us at the next 'fest. Heck, join us for Thanksgiving meal. We'd love to have you join us.

Now, as for Dez....any man who'll salsa dance with a strange woman is alright in my book.

I just beginning to get an idea of your online persona. I have to say I like what I see so far. You appear to be a straight-shooter with a bit of a glint in your eye.
I'd have a beer with you. Don't know yet if I'd do tequila shots with you or not...

...a job?
that's right, folks, i said "a job".
most of you are aware of the struggle that i've had for the past couple of years.
May be I'll buy you a couple o rounds tonight! or maybe you should buy? Proud for you leese.
That would be lovely, dear.
Thank you all so much for your kind words. I don't think it's really sunk in yet that I've got a job. I've been working temp/contract for so long. Funny thing this morning I was thinking..."Hey, I get to order business cards."
I'm a silly girl.

...a job?
That's right, folks, I said "a job". Most of you are aware of the struggle that I've had for the past couple of years. And, many of you have been there for me during this time. I really don't know how I would have done it without the kindness shown to me from the good people here.
I've been on a temporary assignment since early August working as an administrative assistant/property assistant for a property management company. The office I work out of has two office buildings that it manages. The company is owned by a bank so the hiring process is rather lengthy. (Can you say three sets of fingerprints?) Anyway, I got the call this afternoon to tell me "it's official and congratulations on becoming an employee". I replied, "YAY ME!" To which she replied, "No...YAY US !"
The money will be good. There's healthcare (my gawd, it's been years since I've had health insurance). The group I work with is just a great group (only three of us in that office).
A wise person told me to "just relax. You've got the job" I should listen to him more.
Thank you all for your kindness and help along this rough road.
Lisa
