You're a happy medium on the loner scale. You enjoy socializing, but you also have your moods when you'd rather be alone. Social interaction is important for forming human bonds, getting support and affirming your own personal identity. (As Charles Augustin Sainte-Beauve said, "Tell me who admires and loves you, and I will tell you who you are.") But it's equally important to do things for yourself, have time to reflect and explore the world in your own way. In fact, doing things on your own makes you a stronger, more interesting person. Whether or not you consciously aspired to this state of harmony between independence and human bonding, you seem to have achieved it!

Dad very seriously ill..... How did I find out?

first let me start off by saying i am very sick myself right now.

i have a virus that settled in my nerves (very very painful and no it isn't herpes), and now two weeks in i caught a very bad upper respiritory bronchities.

i spent my day in bed as i have been for most of two weeks now with no end in sight (dammit).. not trying for sympathy points, but this just isn't a good time for this!.

Enjoy your day, sweetie. Revel in it. Life is much too short to not appreciate all that surrounds us and all the little things in life that make it special. Take the time to see it...touch it...taste it...smell it....and hear it. Take a moment to thank someone. Life is too precious and too fragile not to seize the day.
