  So I got engaged...

  ...to my boyfriend, we're going to have one of those weddings ('gay' weddings to the straights).. although my jw family know i'm gay, and not going to meetings, only one of my sisters has sussed the situation.

  but i think after 3 years it's about time i told them.

  especially if sometime in the future i'll turn up with a (gay) wedding ring.

  my mom sent me a email telling me that if i want to put any of that (non jw/non christian) religious stuff on my facebook then i should unfriend her.

  i didn't respond directly.

  i did take the email, remove id'ing aspects and ask my facebook friends to tell me what they thought of the request.

  I am sorry about that. It must be really fusterating. You don't really have to do anything at would make you sad. Honestly there are so many options, she can still have you, just only show important things. I do this all the time.

  Bibles, What bibles ??

  so....... captain obvious asks........where are the placement bibles then?.

  we have the newly massaged, repainted, sister-proof nwt (with its errors .

  but the larger question remains..... if this is an organization that is here to spread the good news from the holy scriptures, why is it that all the rolly carts and literature counters are chock full of bible teach books, but not one bible can be found?.

  They still don't have Bibles for the kids or those that couldn't make it or didn't bother to come to the meeting. So some still comment using the old one. Even one brother did the bible reading from the old one. And then he got counseled right from the staged being told that it was "bad" for him to use it.

  Then magically new Bibles appeared but not everyone could have them. Only the elders could handle and touch them. :P

  The new edition of the Bible came out this weekend. It comes in grey and gray. It has new Bible questions at the front. And then new appendix stuff at the back.

  It's a hard time. Especially now the new revision of the Bible actually adds homosexuality into it. Like at 1 Cor 6: 9-11.

  Hello everyone, thank you for your time.

  About me, I am being raised in a JW family. All of my family expect for one aunt, who had left but not disfellowedshiped thankly, are in JW. My father is an elder and so is my grandfather. I am still at the post-leaving (???) stage and have only a handful of friends outside the congregation. I still have doubts but I still believe and it's a struggle. I was baptised in 2008. I auxaliary pioneer in the summers and am a so called "good example" in the hall. It's nice having everyone like me and look up to me, but the thing is I am gay. Or as they put it a homosexual. Yeah, how shocking! I knew even before I was baptised, but being ignorant and young I thought prayer and God would help me... many nights crying in prayer hoping for help to overcome these improper feelings and immoral desires. The next year, 2009, I told my parents. It was a stupid stupid stupid idea!! My father and mother were useless and didn't seem to care. Infact gaining their approval again was simple and in a few months I was their good son again who had conquered this sin by prayer. I've been with two guys whom I really liked but guilt and fear of being caught totally ruined those relationships. The last CO visit he told me that Jehovah has really blessed me and then two months ago I was appointed an MS. Yeah, a gay MS appointed by holy spirit... how can this be possible?!? It shocked me, honestly at first when the elders called me in I though I was going to be found out. It's awful seeing many in the hall date freely and they even mock gay actors. When we had some from the hall for supper all the older men talked about how digusting it is that "homosexuals can marry now."
  
  I am hoping for some support, to get to know you better, hear experiences and maybe someone can explain to me how me a sinner was appointed by holy spirit to be an MS.
