75 out of 84 in asia. I guess the war in Afganistan/iraq paid off in geographic knowledge. I need to review southeast asia though.

Michael Moore's actual quote
by Xander injust thought i'd post this so everyone can see the quote that got him 'booed off the stage' and so horribly offended so many people:whoa.
on behalf of our producers kathleen glynn and michael donovan from canada, i'd like to thank the academy for this.
i have invited my fellow documentary nominees on the stage with us, and we would like to they're here in solidarity with me because we like nonfiction.

1. A radical socialist who lives in a palatial New York apartment and sends his daughter to one of the most expensive private schools in the country.
RandomTask Michael Morre isn't a socialist. He has stated many time that he thinks Ralph Nader should be President. So that would make him a green/independent.

Easter & Charlton Heston
by Dawn inmy husband loves the move the ten commandments so it's a type of easter ritual to watch it after we come home from a good dinner & easter egg hunt with the in-laws.
of course, i never knew why they show it at easter time - but hey - it's a good movie.
this year i finally figured it out (duh... passover, lamb is sacrificed at twilight on nissan 14 - jesus died in late afternoon on nissan 14. isrealites saved by the blood of a lamb - christians saved by the blood of the lamb.

Wouldn't it be cool if they digitally remastered the ten comandments? I
You know what they should redo the movie. Instead on Moses having a cane he could have a big rifle! Instead of Pharoah you could have Michael Morre. The Israelites could be all the NRA members, and the egyptians could be all the anti-gun liberals. That would be cool! The best part would be when Michael Morre gets it via the rea sea coming down on him and he won't sink to the bottom. He just keeps bobing to the top!

I think people are getting way to emotional about this. Consider the next statement made by freedom96
This is about an asshole who killed his pregnant wife. Period. End of story.
While it may be good to express anger at Scott(since after all he is the main suspect), he still has a right to a trial by his peers. If we on the outside of this case are all up in arms about this just imagine people living near him that will be called decide his fate.. And on that note I certainly hope that the jury isn't lead by a bunch of emotional mothers like some of the people that have posted on this topic. This is a capital case. Leave emotions at the door. Period.

M.S.S.'s suicide note. Found next to his body. Which had one gunshot wound to his head
"I'm not really dead, in fact I triple guarantee you I'm not dead. Don't believe the body you see on the ground, The American bastards put it there since they are liars, and Allah will burn their livers in hell. The American cowards could not kill Iraqi's so they had to make hollywood dummies like the one you see here. They are drunkards and infidels. They will be recieved with bombs, bullets, and shoes Allah willing.

A series of Animal Rights questions
by zucker ini was just thinking about some information i read on a animal rights website (peta.org) and decided i would get your feedback since you seem like a fair crowd.. do you think the majority of people in the u.s or in industrialized nations know about the horrible conditions that animals face everyday under the context of food production?
do you believe that if the conditions that animals faced were exposed on the tv screen as much as say long distance telephone service there would be as much consumption of animal products?
if you are a meet eater, ( i honestly don't mean to belittle you in anyway) why do you eat meat if you are aware that it's production causes extreme pain to other living things?

Francois so what if some of the PETA members can't be civil toward people that don't think the same way as they do. Fuc* um! They don't own the patent on the case for animal rights. It doesn't change the message and the truth or falsity of it. Just because some dorks have to spray paint someones fur coat doesn't mean it was right for twenty foxes to have to die for that fancy get-up. But why am I telling you this for, you already know that such a ploy would fall under the ad hominem fallacy.

Peta is as big a cult as JWs ever thought to be, I refuse to listen to their mind-numbing crap.
Francois PETA doesn't try to force people to "convert" to vaganism, like the JW's do with their religon. They don't use any covert tactics to keep it's members in line. They don't pit family members against one another. They don't go door to door, and they don't say you are going to be killed by god if you don't accept their take on things. They are a special interest group like the NRA, or MADD. The cult idea is a bit wacked.
While I agree that some of the material PETA produces in biased, if fact I have seen it first hand when i goto check the facts, I think that applies to just about anything. You have to examine the facts for yourself and from an assortment of opinions. Second I think yourn next statement is completly bogus. You said:
If God had not wanted me to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat.
But Francois, didn't God make humans out of meat? So I guess it's ok to eat humans then right? Yes! If God had not wanted me to eat humans, he woundn't have made them out of meat! Awsome logic!
