My Dumb Ass JW Brother

as some of you know from my sharing portions of my story on this board before, i disassociated myself from the jehovah's witnesses in 2001. my family, including my mother, sister, and brother, remain jehovah's witnesses.

i have an extremely limited relationship with my mother and sister.

i possess no relationship whatsoever with my brother, his wife, and their now 1 yr old son.

Maybe I live in a diferent world than some here- but I will continue to show my ignorance- Why would anyone post ugly things about their families on the internet? My mom is still a devout JW. I have my personal feelings as to some of her actions and her loyalty to the WT- but I also have a great deal of respect and love for teh woman that raised me and carried me in her womb. Again, I am baffled why anyone who sling mud at thier families in a public forum. My sister, Joanna, who died just three years ago died a JW. Even in death I would not call her a "dumb ass" for sticking to JW teachings and policy- IMHO.

And by the way during my sisters illness and before I aided her in all ways that I could- No way did I want to keep the JW mentality of only helping if you see things my way- My aid was out of love for my family- just as I continue to do all I can for my JW mom today....

Like I said maybe I am the "dumb igorant" one here but I do not think this is funny or righ.... I do want to be better than those I call wrong-

I have come to believe that Mr Bowen has two personalities- one given to those who support him and one reserved for those that choose to not support him. All I can speak from is my personal experience with the man and his lack of compassion toward my circumstances. When I told him of the abuse experienced by my now deceased cousin he was no more compassionate than he was with my family circumstances or my person feelings. I am glad for those who get a better side of the man. My heart goes out to those who have been subjected to what I have- For some time I have felt the man capable of many things- things that I will not refer to here-

If the man truly has the interest of abuse vicitms of the WT at heart then why, if he truly thought that I was in need of therapy, would he choose to condemn me with harsh words? After all he lays claim to being the man of compassion- one who says he sees all to well the damage the WT has done to people. He of all people should use words of compassion when dealing with anyone having suffered the WT or for that matter anyone still suffering the lies of the WT. This baffles me.

This person, AlanF, could only be getting certain info from BB. This proves to me that, if my assumption is correct, that I rightly assumed that during the trauma with my son, when also having conversations with BB, he was made aware of my son being in the hospital and having nearly lost him. I rememeber that the big thing that turned me off to mr Bowen was his total lack of concern as to my feelings and my son's welfare. Indeed he bashed me, told me I needed therapy because I would not run from my personal obligations and jump on his bandwagon. Yes, I did intitially agree to help Mr Bowen. Yes, I did back out due to his lack of conceren over my family issues and realization that to me my family needed me much more than Mr Bowen did at the time. I had enough to deal with at that moment than to deal with the abuse victims of the world- including my 78 year old mother- who though still a jw-(and whose personal letters I would nver posts on the internet) is my responsibility because I am the last surviving family she has. It is evil to through such things out to one that has endured what I have. Pure evil. AlanF does not know me and could onl;y be getting his "loose wires" info from Mr Bowen. I will stand by that until proven wrong. That, my friends is why my attitude is so bad toward the likes of BB. He know how to hurt and does not mind jabbing the knife in and twisting it regardless of facts- to hell with truth- to hell with feelings and to hell with anything acccept HIS agenda.

As my son awaits new feet this month I have to have this crap drug up into a public arena. Claims of being a JW in good standing- claims of loose wires- and claims of ????? about my sons health....

Dragon- after having seen recent post referring to myself I am under the impression that there may be a discredit Kelsey and Dragon campaign in force due to certain criticisms we have posted. One AlanF- whom I had never heard of and know nothing about has stooped so low as to make suggestions in a post that my sons recent trauma was not true- I can not think of any other reason for such attacks to be in force now. I tried to start a new post- but I am at my limit for today.

For the record though I will post my story over the weekend- loose wires and all. I hate the thoughts that I have in regards to this attack but my gut feeling as to who may be behind this, if true, will only stir up a pot no one will want stirred.......

"Wiring problems"? The closest thing I know to where that may have come from is when BB told me I needed therapy because I backed off any support to silent lambs. AlanF is this info you are spreading coming from some such source? Since I do not know you and have never posted to you, dont really remember reading any of your post, I don't know where you are coming from. At any rate I am not interested in in your response as I have already, thanks to those who DO know me, discredited your comments about me.

Dragon- from previous posts I had already grown to respect your opinions. Your repsonse here deepens that repsect. Sorry if I interjected where not appropriate- but from personal experience I know that false and malicious rumors get started by simply asking a question.

Though I know nothing of the circumstances referred to in the question.....

last night, after my post regarding ray franz comments of bill bowen's posted statements, i received a good number of email and phone calls.

one item consistently surfaced regarding ray's assignment to write the chapter in the book, organization for kingdom preaching and disciple-making, by the title of safeguarding the cleanness of the congregation.

in the chapter, the "two witness" rule was outlined.

Might I ask why anyone would be concerned as to whether Mr Franz had been privy to knowledge of a pediphile case? Even though I served as a servant in the congregation and I later learned that there were two accused (one had a conviction a later learned) in the congregation serving a pioneers, and I had a good relationship with the others on the servant body- none shared such information. Most of the congregation probably thought that I knew everything about everyone in the congregation- this was far from true. And, a lot of what I thought I knew was based more on rumor and conjecture than any statements shared with me by someone in a position to have known facts. What I did learn about the rank and file is that the congregation was a "gossip mill". Not much dif than I note here- someone would voice a speculation- maybe a servants wife, then the comments would take on a life of it's own. By the time Sis publisher heard the conjecture it was stated as undisputable fact. Then reputations were ruined- people were "marked" by the rank and file and so on. I saw as many people effectively shunned by judgements of the rank and file as I did by judgements of a JC.

Just hours after the march on brooklyn a post was made stating that a lady had accused a GB member of sexual abuse- grooming children for sex slaves and being involved in a satanic cult. Weeks later someone posted what was claimed as a word for word transcript of this ladies comments. After reading this "transcript" (taken at face value as true) I found that the earlier post was very misleading as to the allegations this lady made. Did I misread the supposed transcript? Or did the poster of this transcript edit out certain things or mistype certain lines? I have no way of knowing. But I did learn the lesson not to put a lot of credibility in what is posted as fact. Another poster accused me of being a JW in good standing- had I not responded to this false allegation which was posted as a certain fact- how many here having read this lie would believe this lie to be truth?

Not trying to beat a dead horse- but the point is- as amazing has brought out- conjecture, rumor, gossip does hurt innocent people.
