From either side of the fense the correct and proper statement that should have been made by bill if he felt that making one was needed would have been to say: silent Lambs.org is experiencing some technical difficulties. We hope to have the situation resolved within 24 to 48 hours. We apologize for any inconvinience and appreciate your patience. That is the only proper statement that shold have ever been made. Bill keeps loosing credibility each time he pulls these stunts. The issue should never have been made public. It should have been dealt with privately.

Hawk- Bill's worng actions is, as ussual, jumping to conclusions and spreading things in public that should never be made public- this is not the first time he has done this by a long shot- Whoever is wrong or right on the issue- bill is wrong for going public with the issue-

But really I appreciate your placing any value on my words- to hear someone state that your words have a "ring of truth" to them is real flattering. But you might want to be careful- dont know how healthy a thing it is to openly agree with the likes of me around here- LOL

When I first got involved with silent lambs or was looking to be involved with them several comments made by BB disturbed me. When I investigated his web site and read things that he had posted there I again became troubled. Then things started being posted by BB on this board. I saw and knew that ex jws were going to be biased about most things that oposed or threatened to expose dirt on the WT. I took several of my "worldly" friends who know nothing about jw's nor have ever sat foot inside a KH. Without saying a word to bias them I lead them to the silent lambs web site. They read the letters posted there. I brought them to this forum. They read his comments (BB's) posted here.
Thier reposponse across the board? This guy has lost his mind. Who is this idiot. Why would you think about getting involved with such a person. None- zero were supportive of silent lambs after having read his postings and his own comments describing things he had done (in his own words). It is hard for most ex-jws to not want to be supportive of such a movement- it is personal to us. I felt much better with my judgements after having non-involved- non-biased people give me thier opinions after investigating the movement themselves.

onthego- one person comes out and accuses this Ted guy of abuse. After investigating no further action is being pursued in regard to the allegation. Now you are saying that a person should allow themselves to be accused by BB, not defend themselves and even after BB admits a "misunderstanding" (admits guilt unlike Ted) that not giving support to BB is likened to "playing along with the WT??? Sounds like the old WT dogma of if you dont support the WT you are playing along with satan---

I personally do not think it so trivial when a person continually throws accusations out to the public that have no validity. Then when others- even the accused- question the accusation or defends the accused they are accused of overreacting.
BB is not god or our elder of the week. Just like when he threw comments out about Ray Franz his "apology" was not for thowing the crap out but was for a "misunderstanding". BB was the only one in each case that "misunderstood" anything and was totally abusive in his speech and wrong in making his "suspicions" public prior to doing any investigation to find if his suspicions were warrented. Such statements are reckless to say the least and hurtfull to the innocent.
Keep in mind that this is a pattern of behaviour- not some isolated incident. Who will be the next BB victim? Rev you admitted yourself that you had defended Bill against similar actions on his part.

Rev what is done is done- Now that Bill has done IT again people can see for themselves what the man is all about-
Get your sleep and let it go for now. Hopefully this guy will learn to keep his mouth under control- or at least get his facts before spreading garbage. The same was done with me- I will jump on this stuff every time it happens or when it is brought up- It is the other guy that has the problem- not you Rev- and as has happened before as the trash unfolded here Bill was shown for what he really is all about-
The troubling part is that he claims to want to help abuse victims and all the while he is abusing others-

Rev I understand that totally- BTW you are a bigger man than I. I only hope that lessons are soon learned from the mistakes that have been made. Several people have been hurt by very negative comments made by Bill. Given the postition he has put himself in a lot of people really respect his words- all of a sudden accusations are taken as fact and that in itself is a form of abuse- IMHO.

Mike- bottom line you were the one wronged in my opinion. Now you have to deal with all this that would have never occured if the LIN post had never been posted- which it never should have been.
