  How do you keep from burning out?

  i try not to dwell on this too much, and for the most part im in pretty good spirits.

  at times though i feel like i can't catch up.

  whatever it is that i'm doing whether it's laundry, and house chores, yard work, kids, office work (my job is pretty demanding and nearly every week i have to drive back to the office and work to meet deadlines and work weekends).. don't get me wrong, life is good ,its just i wish at times i could have a maid and a nanny.

  Mulan, yeah I've thought about hiring a little help maybe someone to come clean twice a month.

  My wife and I ALWAYS make time ( and money) to go out to dinner with each other ( just to complete a sentence without some kid interupting.)

  Yeah, no kidding my husband and I have to leave the house if we wish to engage in conversation by ourselves. Or we go upstaires to our bedroom and lock the door. Oh but that doesnt keep them from knocking.

  Yes?

  Can I have Snack?

  NO, we are going to make dinner in a few minutes

  Please?

  No!

  How bout just a Gogurt?

  NO!

  Knock Knock

  Yes?

  Whats for dinner?

  I dont know yet! Go downstairs!

  What?

  Alex keeps looking at me!! Make him stop!

  Just ignore him.

  Can I have GoGurt?

  No!

  But Alex went and got one!

  I told him he couldnt have one!

  Well he already ate it, so can i have one too?

  What little things used to excite you as a JW?

  i would get excited when i was younger and would study the watchtower and see that this weeks study only had 19 paragraphs.

  (made the study seem shorter,lol).

  when a meeting would get canceled because of snow (which was rare) and i would get to stay home and watch a cheers or the cosby show.

  Of course by the time it's all done, the laundry has piled up and the floor needs washing and then the vacuuming again...shrug.

  What are you doing with your Sundays?

  after reading this board for quite a while, i've finally been moved to post.

  i was inspired by our trip to the dallas apostachilifest, where princess and i met lots of terrific people in various stages of exit from the j-ho's.

  good advice guys!

  Just like glamour mags have made women feel like they must meet beauty standards to feel good about themselves, the same can be said (I think) for home and garden mags. Type A personalities can have unreasonable expectations nearly by default!

  Exactly, when I look in magazines like Architectual Digest or Northwest Remodel and I think, "Jesus, where do these people get the time???"

  haha Ohiocowboy,

  Yeah closing prayer was always something to look forward to.

  I'd get excited when they would rearrange the book study groups, because I hoped our we would go to the book study as my friends.
