  I'm really going to miss the show too, I didnt get to watch the final episode last night, we were at my parents house and didnt get home till 11pm. Hopefully it'll be on during the week. Thanks guys for not writing about too many details! I can't wait to watch it.

  An Apostofest called.."Guess who I Am"

  i don't really know what made me think of this......but i was wondering how good i would be at "guessing" who posters are at an apostofest......if it was a guessing game at such an event, and nobody knew anybodys names, and you weren't allowed to tell.

  let's say there were 15-25 posters we are all familiar with from the board who have been around long enough for many to know them fairly well.

  how good would you be at guessing who they are?

  red, red wine is my bag baby!

  Merlot, Cabernet, or a Shiraz is what I usually drink. You know what is also really good (and we found on sale as of late) is a spanish red wine Crianza Rioja, 2000 vintage from Conde De Valemar. Very tasty!!!, hmmm I'll think i'll pour me a glass right now.

  JW &Your Health

  well, i guess this will be my first official question for all of you.....does the stress of the jw religon stemming from a background in it affect anyones health?.

  this may seems silly but just thinking about it and other religious options stresses me out.

  right now, just from thinking about this for an hour or so, i have a huge headache and am very tense and a little bit shaky.

  Did Other JW's ever try to tell you how to discipline your child?

  when my daughter was a toddler and i was still in the org, i would bring her to the meeting.

  it was pretty difficult because she wouldnt want to sit still and i would end up just sitting in the womens restroom with her for most of the meeting.

  often my parents, and even my siblings who had children of their own would say "what she needs is a good spanking!!

  Spankings In The KH Bathroom

  oh, how many times have we heard the loud hard spankings of toddlers' and preschool aged children by their parents for making noise at the meetings echo from inside of the kingdom hall restrooms?

  I remember hearing spankings all the time. I dont understand how young children are expected to sit still for so long!! grrr

  It was nothing unusual for me to get hauled in the bathroom and spanked when I was little. It was and still is expected of JW's to discipline their children that way.

  I like SNG's and everyones comments

  I'm so much more happier being out. I'm not going to say that everything is just fantastic, because things happen and events happen that still cause saddness. However I look at things with new eyes that are not shaded with JW cult thinking.

  I no longer look at the news and think "ooooh the end is sooo close"

  The black and white to color analogy is fantastic and is so true.

  I also like to equate JW world with being stuck in a small box. Your world and all your friends are in that box. You arent allowed to form any close relationships with anyone outside of that box, because they are all doomed for destruction.

  And suddenly the box is gone and a whole different world opens up before you. You can think clearly, everyone is not doomed. You can live for today and enjoy relationships you have now instead of living for some distant future thing. The world is so much larger and full of oportunities that we can enjoy now. Learn a new language, learn to play an instrument, travel and experience other cultures. Live life to the fullest and enjoy what you can.
