Hi ya'll, I posted my introductory thoughts in others main posts, (Good or evil where do you draw the line?) and in (What's the reason? the part two). so I don't want to exhaust my breath re-expressing my thanks to the old timers at Brooklyn..

I'm glad to newly be out and have a nice verse I want to dedicate to the ones that have fed and nursed and disowned me after I "grew up" and became smarter and became a wise-a** Here goes.

Good or Evil, where do you draw the line?

without the bible, is it possible to define good from evil?

what may be good for one person may be considered evil for another.. is good judgement good enough to differentiate good from evil?

for example fornication is considered evil in the bible, while it may feel good for the people involved.

i think for the word evil, we can use "wicked."

We all know that righteousness and unrighteousness is mentioned alot in the Bible. Hopefully we fit into one or the other, ha, because there will be 'a resurection of both the righteous and unrighteous" Acts 24:15

Christ had to die for our sins because "all men have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23

It is actually the "Wickedness" that we have to worry about. Jehovah hates wickedness, Psalm 45:7 and wickedness is mentioned many times in the six things Jehovah hates Proverbs 6:16.

Wickedness has characteristics of pride and contentions. It being a Prideful heart condition rather than an unrighteous "fleshly." weakness.

Contention is seriously rooted in pride Proverbs 13:10 and wrath. Proverbs 15:18

A contentious person wants to argue to gain victory over one that they consider weaker.

Bring in Matthew 24:48 about the evil slave, (we have the word evil here!) beating their fellow slaves.

Apply that to the power hungry, prideful "glorious" ones at Bethel, and their ya go. Did I just describe evil and wickedness? ooops....hmmm,

lets say you were smoking, this is a habbit that is not too easy to treat.

Note: When I metioned Proverbs 6:16-19 "abusing ones own." it means "to stir up contentions among brethren." Proverbs 13;10 notes this as a characteristic of Pride, , "only by pride cometh contention." So this fits nicely in the characteristics fo a debased heart condition rather that an 'imperfect flesh weakness."

A contentious person wants to argue to claim victory over another. The Old Timers at Bethel have accomplished this quite well, letting no one else that proclaims the same "sonship' have any say on anything.

I think they fit nicely into the contentious practice of Matthew 24:49 of "beating his fellow slaves."

I believe that when one consciencely feels a guilty sin, I do believe as you do that there is no excuse to continue in that sin. For in Jude verse 4 it is stated; "turning the undeserved kindness of our God into an excuse for loose conduct and proving false to our ony owner and Lord, Jesus Christ."

In Hebrews 6;6 it talks about, "impaling the Son of God afresh for themselves and exposing him to public shame." these seem to be good scriptures to discourage willful continuation of loose conduct.

the context of these however stresses the responsiblity of 'Holy Ones of God" to not develop in themselves a "wicked heart" in Hebrews 3:12 for example.

This seems to be applying to a required heart condition rather than a "unclean practice." since God is able to 'discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12.

Homosexuality in 1 Cor 6:9 listed among such practices as adultery, thievery, greediness, drunkeness, reviling, and extortioners.

1 Corinthians 611 talks about being washed clean from these being that is "what some of us were."

John 15:3 states;" But you have been made clean because of the word that I have spoken to you."

So, the unclean practices were forgivable by God, being practices of "weak flesh."

Contrast this to the things Jehovah hates, "lofty eyes, false tongue, murdering hands, wicked heart, wicked feet, lying, and abusing ones own." Proverbs 6:16.

I never intentioned to say that unclean practices was acceptable, but merely to state it as imperfection of the flesh, and ongoing struggle. Jesus says to forgive upward to 'seventy seven times.' Matthew 18:22, So Jehovah knows how we struggle.

I think the focus needs to be on guard against "wicked" things, not "unclean" practices...

Looking at an organization that focuses on the" fleshly" mistakes of others, while denying their coverups, exclusive grandeous attitutes, and stepping over lesser ones because of pride, well that is verging on the brink of "a wicked" heart condition. A wicked heart condition being much more serious than unclean flesh practices.

That us my argument against the structure of the Watchtower that I had to leave."

I like how you mentioned the imperfection that many people can't help. If we were all born imperfect, than that imperfection can be manifest in many ways that people dont think about.. If there is genes that make some people more prone for alcoholism, or hormonal defects that make some lean to homosexuality? Who knows? But there are many studies.

Even the human psychology is delicate, on influencing the habit of alcohol, homosexuality, or violence, etc..on how ones were raised, or ones bad personal life experiences..

Thus the need for Christ.

The restless, discontented masses of mankind are represented in the Scriptures as the "sea'.

Jehovah's love for the sin cursed, suffering race of humanity has been made operative through the gift of his Son to be man's redeemer. "For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, in order that no one may perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Why the Witnesses pick on others sin and imperfection so much, and why they can't understand this simple remedy of Christ dying for our sins, is beyond me..

Call them "blind guides"Matthew 15:14, or "anti-Christs" 1 John 2:18 . Shucks, if they dont want to give others the benefit of it, then they dont believe it.

Disfellowshipping Loving? HELP! Part One

that was the topic that inspired this..... i have given many scriptures in the previous topic showing how jesus had so much love for us and i feel that paul was trying to set an example for us in his writings.

I have been perusing a lot of forums, looking for answers on why I felt so judged as a devout Jehovah Witness. I am disfellowshippped myself, and finding others who can alleviate my pain is refreshing.

I believe in the Grace of Jehovah, and think your post was excellent in its coverage.

Jesus was persecuted becuase he taught the love and grace of Jehovah extended to the sinners. He did this not by creating an imposing institution, but by giving them rejoicing hearts, when they discovered the gospel of love, not judgement.

"man dominates man to his injury" Ecc 8:9 . So God never intented us to judge one another., or any church entity. It solely belongs to Christ and his co rulers during his millenial age. (the little flock) Luke 12:32

'By one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men." Romans 5:12

This gave us the need for the ransom 1 Tim 2:6. Because ALL men have sinned, and it isn't right to single out a few for man imposed "shunning"

In Micah 4:1-4 It is the Kingdom of Christ that wil judge...."and he will teach us his ways, and we wil walk in his paths: for the law shall fo forth of Zion...and he shall judge among many people.'

it is only up to Christ to judge, Not men. I enjoyed your post.
