  jw's say that god has only the limitations he himself has placed upon himself and that he keeps faith with himself.. they further say that all evil is the result of the challenge to his sovereignty.

  the time man's experienced evil is to the end of proving the rightfulness and righteousness of jehovah, his way of ruling and that he didn't create defective creatures with free will, but rather the defect was their own - they chose evil.

  other things subsidiary, to these but contingent on them too.. .

  (i have derived the following arguments after studying c.s.

  lewis', norman geisler's, and victor reppert's arguments, and i want to give credit where credit is due).

  Why do religious people believe morality has to be absolute? Why can't morality be a continuum from subjective to objective?

  Society, culture, or we on an individual level decide what is moral right or wrong. Morality evolves with culture, especially when it comes to "gray" areas. Some moral issues are quite black/white and approach the "objective" side of the spectrum. These types of things are generally viewed as wrong by all people in all cultures in any time.

  Humanity will never agree 100% on every moral issue.

  Even if someone believes morality should be entirely objective and based on the bible, then you are left with myriad subjective interpretations of that same bible. Which scriptures do we follow? Which do we ignore?

  I hope we ignore the scriptures about stoning disobedient children. Or eating bacon. I like bacon.

  Nasty lyrics in hip hop and Jamaican music where I work! What to do??

  ok...i have three teenagers, ive heard my share of over the top hip hop rap and head banging metal music.

  and i pick my battles with that, and know that i cant really control what my kids listen to any more but dont have to have it played in my car with me in it or in my house with me present.

  so i start the late night shift where i work, and its a totally different atmosphere there...laid back...which i really like...but with that comes everybody's choice of music to play while they work.
