this is my first time posting and even visiting the site - there have been some great reads so far, some real life changing stories.

i could not help but notice that there seems to be a larger number of heartfelt stories about growing up gay amongst males.

what about lesbians, in my overall internet search i have only found a handful of stories.

disfellowshipped husband banned by inactive dad from house

hi everyone , i have been absent for a year in an attempt to "move on" and have moved areas , have been harrassed by mormons loads in new are a but not a jw in sight !

has there been some new rules come out recentley regarding total shunning disfellowshipped family as my husband has been out now about 14 years and has so far never been banned from the house of his parents , but the other day his inactive dad asked him if he would mind not calling at theirhome anymore as it makes things awkward for his wife and jw children .

husband wanted to know why now after all these years ?

Exactly. My JW parents still talk with me, but if they ever tried to pull this bullshit they would not see their grandson.

my computer is with the geek squad currently to rid it of this winpc anti-virus.

the guy who is repairing my computer is ian and he's a member of the geek squad.

he has two other computers he is trying to rid of the same virus.

Using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer will greatly reduce (dare I say "eliminate") the possibility of getting infected like this when you browse the web.

this year's prodigal son drama is like a "cult 101" class.

if you leave "the truth" (tm) bad things will happen to you- you will end up in a car wreck because your friends will be driving drunk.

Oh, certainly not! A couple years ago a local elder here drove with a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit and hit a 22 year old girl driving another car. She died. He is in jail serving a four-year sentence. At his trial at least a dozen JWs stood up for this barbarism by submitting "character witness" type letters. Ridiculous.

If you join the Jws they take a strict biblical moral stand ...

I don't need to join any religion to know that drunk driving is wrong. Or murder, stealing, or rape is wrong.

30 june 1994 a test fight of the airbus a.

330 simulating an engine failure and crashed and killed all 7 crew on board.. australia 7th oct 2008. perth australia airbus a.

330 plane suddenly due to "electrical faults" pitched downwards toward the ground for awhile....many injured, but control was restored and it landed safely.
