  No HOPE in our future????

  in my witness past, i had many hopes.

  they do not pass by with the thought that there will soon be hope of something better.

  no, they pass into me with the hope of knowing how precious the things are that i have.

  i just thought i would post a little about myself here, even though some of you might know me from the "beyond jehovah's witnesses" forum.

  my name is bradley and i live in a suburb of chicago illinois.

  i'm currently twenty six years old and left the jws about nine months ago after a year and a half of intense doubts, many hundreds of hours of research, cognitive dissonance and bouts of vomitting (stressful, eh?).

  Blondie, Can I ask a question? What do you like or not like about the beyond-jw forum compared to this one? I see you have posted a lot to here and that is good. I just wonder what the difference is for you?

  ok...i have to admit that i am no stranger to posting on ex-jw forums.

  but i feel like i have went from smallsville to chicago here.

  the forum i post on and still do has one administrator and less than a dozen moderators.

  Thanks again all. I hope you know I was joking about who not to get on the wrong side of. My brother posts on here somewhere by the way. I posted on Tim's forum and gave him this one to post on. Sometimes if is best to keep brothers not too close together.

  Anyway, Simon, I hope to be more than a visitor and post some good things. I know I can't be as active as some, but I will frequent the site.

  PS.. I go out of my way to help ex-jw's if that counts for bonus points. I think that all ex-jw's should help each other. I always watch out for new ones on the site I am at and I see you all do pretty much the same here. I like that!

  OK...I have to admit that I am no stranger to posting on ex-jw forums. But I feel like I have went from Smallsville to Chicago here. The forum I post on and still do has one administrator and less than a dozen moderators. How many people are here and how many administrators, moderators, etc...

  Also, who do I NOT want to get on the bad side of? LOL...just kidding. This site looks good to me, but like I said, it is huge.

  Hi jst2laws,

  Well, Tim is the administator over at www.beyond-jw's site. I found it at first on google just by searching on jehovah's witnesses. It is like the third listing down.

  I always thought there were just 2 main ex-jw sites, but I could be wrong on that. You guys are so much bigger than Tim's site though.

  Thanks everyone very much! and yes JH, I was born in 1968 :)

  Now for a silly question. How do you navigate this site? Like when I posted this thread, I didn't see where it popped up. I had to go do a search under my username. Any thought??

  I will tell you my story soon...I need to figure out basics here I guess first.
