Having worked in clubs I know perfectly well the bouncers normally stand in a corner with nothing to do on 'dance music' night where people are popping pills or smoking stuff; on a 'normal night' where booze is the intoxicant of choice they're having to wade in to pull drunk assholes off each other. Mmmm, yes, pot is soooooooooooooo bad. A victim of domestic abuse would probably be relieved when the scum bag doing the abusing sparked up as she'd be less likely to suffer harm whilst they were stoned; totally the reverse of someone who abused alcohol and was violent towards women.

But hell, why should XJW let something as irrelevent as facts influence his nice little opinion?

So, get god started just once. The fact theistic and nontheistic theories of origin of life are unprovable does not mean bronze-age goat herds were right.

Abiogenesis aside, evolution is so well supported its unreasonable to doubt the general theory; even if there are mistakes or revisons are made as new evidence is discovered, or methods of studying evidence are refined. Only people who know little about evolution think such things effect the overall validity of the theory demonstrated by the evidence. It's not a question of being fundamentally wrong or right any longer. It's a question of getting better.

There is no credible alternative theory to explain the diversity of life around us; especially not ones with magic sky-men involved. And drawing a line in the sand at abiogenesis is a really bad idea, as I wish you a long and happy life and am pretty sure there will be such proof within your lifetime. If your belief in god is based on abiogenesis being impossible and they then go make life in a lab you have problems. If your idea of god is bigger than that of the aforementioned goatherds, you won't be bothered

yesterday after school i had to go work on a project with friends.

mom said be home by 5, but there was a huge accident a mile from where i live, and i sat on the road for like 10 - 12 minutes, and was 5 minutes late getting home.

Most Muslims do NOT regard Jews or Christian as Infidels; they are people of the Book, and not subject to the undeniably harsh way of treating most unbelivers that Islam shares with Christianity.
That political inference by Christian powers in the government of Islamic countries has resulted in the overthrow of democartic governments, the impostion of a tyranical puppet, and the subsequent Ismlamic Revolution that would have never happened under the democratic goverment the Christian Powers deposed (Iran). The rise of a tyrant (Iraq). The continuation of chaos in Palestine.
People are beastly to each other all the time for no good reason. They are also really nice to each other all the time for no good reason. Most of the time they are the same religion. What point are you trying to make? It's not like Christian governments can claim they haven't done great harm in the Middle East, or that innocent Muslims have not suffered due to the policies of Christian goverments. No one is denying Muslims can be 'unpleasent to Christians' - and no one should deny the reverse is true.

You were a cultist and are still a jw; I realise the two aren't the same. Don't become a bigot, you're probably far too nice a guy to do that to yourself. If you finger point another faith without looking at your own or others, that is the risk you run. Mote, beam, speck, rafter; not you personally, but Christianity.

First of all, don't play by their rules.

If you join a childhood club with friends based on imaginary stuff, you don't write a letter saying you are dissassociating yourself from the Tutfty Club when you 'grow-up'. Unless it suits YOU and your intentions, why should one DA because it's expected? Yes, expected by whom, and why should one care what they think now?

I walked away, managed to avoid DF'ing, and decided to just let it be as I thought it the best way of staying on good relations with my family. It suited me.

Might not suit them. But it's another option.
