  Big Ray in trouble with Watchtower Society ?

  dear everyone,.

  you may known that previously, this discussion forum owned by big ray, he is a faithful witness to watchtower, he sold his forum then formed some other similar forums for others, who faithful to the society.

  however, he now seems has a problem with society.

  CULT, if JW ,how about Christ?

  when so much peopel say jw is a cult,comperd to the most religions we are very diffrent yes.. but if we go back to christ and was he was teching,you must say this was a cult to, he was telling he was the only one, a remark as you say on a cult, he was saying he come from the lord also a remark as you say,he was telling you must obey him also a remark on a cult as you say, he say if you dont se him as the son of the lord you have no life ,also a remark on a cult as you say,and he say he give his follower power from heaven, oups this is a very bigg remark on a cult.. littel confusing isnt is?

  Cult for me means high control group.

  A group of Christians can be Christians and not be a high control group.

  The problem is that it is very easy for things based on spiritual beliefs to become a high control group, as 'I say so' becomes a valid reason.

  what did you find the most boring book to read in the bible?.

  its a hard choice as there's so many to choose from but i have to go with psalms.flipping nora it take for ever to read, is written in some incomprehensible way, and is about nothing!

  "We believe that Jesus was crucified on an upright stake with his arms covering a sign placed directly over his head. Therefore, we don’t know what that sign said. We believe this because everyone else believes that Jesus died on a cross and so they all must be wrong."

  That's a BLOODY good point!! As well as funny!

  Who will go to heaven?

  i know that jw's say only 144,000. however, i just read a book called "as time runs out" by robert jeffress and he claims that all christians who have received jesus will be picked up at the rapture.

  but, he says, we will not all have the same rank in heaven.

  he claims that different responsibilities will be assigned.

  That is the problem. You can't.

  If god really loved us, he'd make sure we knew which way to go. But ALL religions, even the ones who say "all ways to god are equal", think they are more right thanm the rest. And none have any proof, just words. SO how can we know which way to go?

  We can't. Therefore, either god doesn't love us, or god is just a nice idea dreamed up to stop the cave children being scared of lightning, and is actually different removed and has no plan for us, or there is no god.

  If god doesn't love us why should we love him?

  If god is removed from us and is unconcerned with us, why should we be concerned about him?

  If god doesn't exist, then obviously religion is just a dumb idea.

  You choose, I already have.

  Is Death the End?

  for once i will try to post a serious topic so here goes.... most of us here have rejected most if not all of the jw teachings.

  i (as well as most of you) certainly do not believe that armaggedon will arrive someday in the future and everybody who is not a jw will die and the witnesses that are left will rebuild the earth.. so, the question i have is this: what do you think happens when you die?.

  do you go to heaven or hell?

  I actually don't find the idea that there is no proof whatsoever of any existance after death scarey at all.

  It might SEEM scarey, as you have been lied to so long, and had ideas about an after life or an eternal life.

  But all it is is how it is.

  We are born, we live, we die. Really simple.

  It doesn't make things meaningless UNLESS we let it. And what could be more meaningless than living a life to achieve some promised afterlife that is just a lie?

  Don't get suckered by Pascal's wager!!

  I agree with Maeblis' quote; life is what you make it, and you are SO BLOODY LUCKY starting at your age - many of us had to wait a decade or more before we got out.

  Try not to think of it as life suddenly becoming meaningless because it will end at some point. Try to think about it as discovering the 'truth' and being liberated by it.

  The most strangest sounds I ever heard ........

  i had an experience last night which was the strangest thing i have heard / felt for years ............. i had shared a bottle of white wine with my wife (i know that "tunes down" the whole thing, but man!

  half a bottle of wine produces nothing like that ....), she went upstairs to go to bed, it was 10:45 at night, and i let the dog out in the garden for her usual you-know-what.

  25 metres away is a small road, there are houses around, and 50 metres down to my left another small road departs.. i had been out 10 seconds, when suddenly very loud noices were all around, like - please don't laugh - santa claus with his sleigh came down the road, like sleigh bells sort of, but much louder and more distinct.

  It's part of a conspiracy between the New World Order (now fronted by Queen Elizabeth II, as her mum is dead (both of whom are hyper-intelligent reptiles from the Rigel system) and the pixies, some of whom have stolen highly confidental Sleigh Technology from Santa and are using it to their own ends.

  Dogs would react to electro magnetism too; to prove this just stick one with a metal collar under one of those big electro-magnets they have in scrap yards on cranes and turn it on (the magnet, not the dog).

  Seriously, I don't know. Obviously it was real to you, and may well have been just as real to anyone standing next to you. Beyond that, it's hard to say.

  how come every year during the memorial talk they say the number of partakers is dwindling.

  if they just look back at the numbers in their own literature, its hovered around 8-9k, going up and down for decades.

  example 2000: 8755 partakers.

  Of course, one could suggest that it's far better they be kept comparatively under control with their yearly pantomime, than not have the outlet for their dellusions that they do.

  Just think, if different doors had been knocked on, those who died in 'Heaven's Gate', Waco and Jones' Town might be swelling those figures by, what? Around a thousand? If you add in the poor sods in that Nigerian church, well over a thousand. Add that to those killed by suicide bombers convinced that they would be in paradise as a result of killing women and children, the death toll of 911... hell, I think memorial partakers represent an important safety valve; they don't often blow themselves up, commit mass suicide, or stage terrorist outrages.

  See how Jehovah blesses his organisation!

  If you don't accidentally bleed to much you'll be fine.
