  At the quickbuild for uor new hall the elders could always find my phone number when they were short of labourers for the initial works, but never when I wanted them to phone me to give me some help....

  And on the actual build I was wearing distinctive clothing, I wore a big set of floppy ears on my hard hat, the sort that motorbikers wear on their helmets. I was on loads of photo's with people because of them. I was df'd before the dedication talk, and mysteriously all the photo's of me there disappeared from the display.

  Anglise, I was camping in North Wales, the nearest I could get to the place I wanted to be! If the look on Blondies link you can see the storm I was in the middle of.

  On the news overnight it said there's a hurricane brewing in the Gulf of Mexico, its expected to hit land at Texas sometime over the weekend. I hope everyone on here from Texas is ready for it!

  The fact that all the elders children, ect, that used to act all goody goody at the hall and in front of others, but when we were on our own they were the worst of the lot of us. Despite this all in the hall used to love them and think they were so spiritual, while at the same time classing all the other young ones who used to act the same all the time, whether in front of elders or their friends, because anyone who acts like that in front of others must be doing much worse when their on their own....

  Saturday was very good here, I managed to top up my sunburn quite a bit. On Sunday I got caught in a downpour, the campsite I was on got flooded and visibility was very bad coming back up the motorway. Everyone was going on about how hot it was and all I saw was rain.

  Jehovah has shown love in many ways, but there is one that stands out above all others. What is it? It is his sending his Son to suffer and die for us.

  How much of a sacrafice was this for Jehovah and Jesus? Blondie already mentioned that they were only seperated for the equivalent of 48 minutes. I remember reading a report about when anti-lock brakes were first fitted as standard to cars in the UK. It said there was an increase in tailgating on motorways, ect, because the car drivers were confident in the ability of the cars brakes to stop them in time so they didn't feel in danger from doing this. The more safety devices a vehicle has the more risks the driver is willing to take because he knows he will be able to walk away without serious injuries. How much of a risk was an all powerful god with the power to ressurect a t will taking when he allowed his son to be killed, or Jesus allowing himself to be killed when he knew Jehovah would ressurect him double quick?

  How would you explain jws to a non-jw?

  in the past, when i've been talking about being a witness they haven't really understood just how much of an impact it has on your life unless they've been one too.

  whats the best way to explain it to someone who has never been a witness and had little contact with them?

  i'm more thinking of how much control there is over your life, and the reason why a lot of witnesses feel down and suffer from depression, ect.. gadget
