SA Bethel is very important in the Sub-Saharan region as it serves a number of countries printing needs - however 500 sounds quite steep - will need to confirm this ! The headcount was about 800 so.........I will try to get a solid confirm on this one.

i just received confirmation from a very trusted source in south africa bethel that up to 500 "families" (i imagine couples or singles) are getting let go from that branch.. also confirmed is the special pioneer cull.. what really strikes me about the layoffs is that the south african bethel provides literature and other needs for most of africa, a huge growth area for the org.. .

Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS

cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.
of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

In my country Bethalites have to be "employed" - the Labour Law does not recognise a Volunteer as being apart from the definition of employee and therefore being laid-off should constitute a Retrenchment and therefore subject to all the legalities protecting that situation - which should also involve a formal exiting process - which could be challenged in court. etc etc Most reasonable countries have similar labour laws. -

by James Jack ina good source just just told me that at morning worship today that the governing body announced that a total of 1600 bethelites will be let get go and not transferred to warwich when the last property is sold in brooklyn and all kingdom hall building projects are on hold for at least a year so that all the focus will be on the preaching work.
