  A brilliant psychologist

  i've been seeing a brilliant psychologist.

  he has been pivotal in drawing the parallels between my jw upbringing - specifically the hypocrisy i saw as a child - and the reason i've tolerated lies and inconsistencies in my most significant adult relationship.. i've seen one other psychologist in the past.

  she didn't get the issues surrounding the religion whatsoever, didn't regard that aspect of my backstory as relevant, and was of little help to me.. has anyone else seen a psychologist - whether for help with coping in the aftermath of leaving the religion, or for seemingly unrelated issues that actually turned out to be related?

  Voodo Lady so glad to here you have such help in your life right now:

  The Psychiatrist currently assisting me is top of his game. He never offers an opinion but will dialogue with you and by drawing you out with questions get you to reach your own logical conclusions. Were I to attempt to ask him something along the lines of - Have you treated many JW's for depression - he would simply not answer that question -

  But by the nature of his questions I can confirm that he knows a lot about JW's and even doctrine and policies. He is Jewish and about 70 years of age. Wise ol man ! Got me off deep depression in about a month after 30 months of hell.

  However all 4 of us [family] have or are receiving professional assistance.

  Dating an unbeliever and refusing to break off the relationship = Brazen conduct = Marking Talk and could even lead to DF'ing as this is wilful disobedience.

  Once sat in a JC [as co-Pharisee] where this was applied - Outcome was a Marking Talk as the JW was female - It was intimated that were the JW a brother/servant it could lead to DF'ing. [You can write rules into the Talmud as you go along in the Borg - WikiRulz - self-editing rule book.

  With this "ruling" it would be possible to "out" any of us faders as this is wilful [brazen] disobedience of Gods appointed channel - the Slaaaavvvvvve.

  It appears that on this site if you are not in full agreement with or not towing a certain line you are......not really that welcome here. Now that is the kind of treatment I have just left back in the Borg.

  There is a definite lack of civility on the part of some here and it is really so unnecessary - But it reveals a lot too! Sadly !.

  So someone starts a topic with absolute sincerity and then next minute he is fighting off a bunch of rabid dogs -

  Lawdy some of you must have been really shitty to be around in the Kingdom Halls - Well thankfully I don't have to wake up next to you each new day ! But you have to wake up next to yourself - Get a life. For Gods sake please don't breed !

  Maqubela was found dead in his luxury Bantry Bay, Cape Town flat on June 05, 2009. His wife was arrested at her Sandton home in the early hours of Thursday, March 25 2010 after allegations surfaced that he had been poisoned.

  Trolley Dollies (Again) - With Sadness

  at 9.00 am, saturday 14 march i was in the town centre of cheltenham, gloucestershire, uk.

  a beautiful town with fine architecture.. feeling replete after a full 'english breakfast' and generally happy with life, i waited outside a bank, smoking a contemplative cigarette, whilst mu friend carried out his bank business.

  there were some fine women out and about.. across the square, i noticed (no-one else seemed to) two jw literature carts.

  WT does have Vending machines - they are low maintenance - and the policy is to replace them with another one when they break down. These vending machines drive themselves to the vending point and feed themselves - So when the vending machine I am married to could not make the 1000 hours / annum trouble free service - [ she was an Uber-Vendor for 8 years - ] due to some internal defects - she was simply made obsolete.

  Jw are moving from Door to Door realizing it is ineffective

  jw have announced that they will no longer be doing door to door as they have realized that the door to door salesman is on a decline.. now they will be putting all of their effort into cold calling via a telephone as they feel this will be more effective means to reach people.

  jw call centers will be set up at local kingdom halls so that all jw will now reach out to people via a hard copy of the yellow pages and white pages.

  they have seen the success of telemarketers and can't wait to try out this new and revolutionary way to reach people via a telephone.

  They are going to Outsource the Calls Centres to India.

  Its not a problem cos the Hindian peoples will just read it off a script - much like JW-Dubs do anyway.
