  We have a little harbour-village just outside Cape Town called Hout Bay and they have some crazy signs up even saying "Welcome to the Republic of Hout Bay" and you can even get a "passport" from the local Tourist Info centre - all tongue in cheek - in fact more non-HoutBayers own the passports - its a little money-spinner - I am sure the Oz folk are not this conceited and I also posit that the sign was put up by locals - its not an official govt sign. Chill out guys !

  In fact if you care to google Orania - this is a little town in South Africa that is still in the Apartheid dark ages - everyone in the town is ..................................Caucasian - and you feel the white supremacy ideology very strongly. They still fly the old Aparheid flag in the town.

  this happened about 6 months ago, didn't really have an opportunity to post about it (been busy), but they still haven't given back his password for the phone hook-up.

  they say that this is direction from the "branch office".

  i think it's complete bs, the real reason why they are doing this is to punish me & my family because i am basically a ghost when it comes to meetings & any type of activity.

  had health issues that saw me catapulted away from 'the centre of the cong' and wow what a different place that was!

  i discovered that my 96-year-old grandaunt had named her jw elder as personal representative of her estate and another jw "best friend" as her power of attorney.

  i learned that they used a financial advisor at wells fargo advisors to help raid my grandaunts bank accounts in the years before her death, and then the wt and jws received most of what was left of her estate.

  i am currently working on a book to expose this horrific practice.

  One of the sites you gave leads to a page where one is requested to contribute money.

  Is it possible that you can supply additional supportive info about this matter regarding your mother? I mean like from authorities etc as this would fully legitimise your appeal and make people feel more comfortable to part with money.
