something i found on facebook..... a bit of interesting history reading .... enjoy ...they used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot & then once a day it was taken & sold to the tannery.......if you had to do this to survive you were "piss poor".
but worse than that were the really poor folk who couldn't even afford to buy a pot......they "didn't have a pot to piss in" & were the lowest of the low.

Dung floors are still used in rural dwellings here in Sourh Africa.
And our farmer family had dung floors throughout their house on the farm in an area called Warmbaths.
May i assure you that there was no unpleasant odour once it was laid and had dried out - in fact it gave of a sweetish "planty" fragrance.
You then applied floor polish to it and of course it was warm in winter !
i would like to think there was some good that resulted from our being a witness at one time..

My "big Girl" graduated with we call a B Comm - Bachelor of Commerce Degree last May and has now started an MBA [ She is 28 now ]

My SinL used to check the menu ahead of reserving the visit first so that we usually pitched when they were having Roast Lamb and Potatoes etc -
