so where do you start?.

i've been reading peoples experiences for several months now trying to figure out what i want to say but how do you put your whole life into a few words?.

i was a born in but have been happy and free for 5 years and luckily for me my husband felt the same way and we have freed our children from being brainwashed.

to look for 144,000 congregations of jehovah's people as there are now almost 112,000 congregations?

has anyone heard this?.

New Beginnings

this week monday i started my new job.

initially i didn't have much to do and was left alone in an office for 3 days.

i felt very isolated and uncomfortable.

Congratulations LouBelle! I really admire you. The job will get better. My daughter started a corporate job this fall and had the same experience. It took a few weeks before she felt like she was part of things.

Keep us posted on your healthy plan. I'm trying, too, struggling to get back on track after gaining 20 some pounds. I lost some of it over the holidays and my blood pressure came down dramatically. That's my reason!

My friend's conversation with a JW about me! Lol!

one of my old friends from work, who i used to have lots of spiritual conversations with, messaged me on facebook before and told me how he had a call from the jws this morning.

here is our conversation from facebook when he told me what happened:.

my friend: any way funny thing today, some jehovos came to me door and we were having a chat and i told them i didnt agree with their religion saying i was biased because i had a friend who used to be one and was kicked out for being gay and how could they preach like love etc and be so discriminative and then said they would know you mentioned your name and he did know you, and has even been on holiday with you in the past.

it's nearly 3:00 a.m., and i needed a midnight snack.

i didn't want to fry an egg so i tried to peel a couple cooked eggs.

Agree with Hermano. You need eggs that have sat around for a bit, a little mellow, like me.

What rumors have you heard about yourself since leaving?

good morning all,.

i have had the opportunity over the last couple of years to speak with a couple of jw's who had either attended the same congregation i did or were married to someone who to the same one.

for the record, i disassociated myself in 1992 due to being followed around by an elder or two who had heard that i had ray franz's "crisis of conscience" in my possession.

So complete was the shunning when I was merely missing meetings and inactive that I didn't hear any rumors! At an "intervention" my sister's staged under lying pretenses, I was told I must have done something bad and I needed to confess to the elders so I could come back. I was stunned! The worst thing I could have done, according to them, was read CoC; adultery would have been better, maybe even murder. I told them I wouldn't have known where to get apostate literature if I'd wanted to.

I made them mad enough to raise their voices by my refusal to participate that people in the restaurant began looking over at us. Still raises my blood pressure to think about it!

It would have been interesting to know what the congregation was saying about us.

1. jehovahs witnesses claim to have no clergy and hence are supposed to be totally unlike christendoms' rulers who get special reverence and lord it over their brothers.

First you have to be brainwashed. You have to believe/accept the "Society" speaks for "god." After that, nothing matters, there is no reasoning. That's why getting out is so difficult. If we could somehow make every "witness" read this, there would be very few that actually saw the reasoning.

Aren't you glad you're out!

DWTS-Michael Jackson tribute night

ok, i don't tell many i watch dwts, religoiusly!

so tonight is michael jackson night and they are scanning the audience and his mom is there.. how does she manage to stay in good standing.

I think it's more that it was honoring a DA person, and, yes, the dancing performed would be seen as immoral. And all the baggage that goes with "sister" Jackson that the R&F would be DFd for.
