  i had it confirmed today that 5 kingdom halls on one site in new addington are for sale.

  price being asked £3.5 million.. every witness in london worked on that site.

  am in shock.

  spy vs spythe watchtower society's 007 mentality the organization was naturally a gossiping paradise.

  to know everything about your business and personal life.

  the most intrusive methods employed in the organization.. laying down your life for your brotherit was amazing to me that more often than not a talk .

  Did you know of anyone in particular who
  was notorious for turning people in?

  Oh yeah. Everywhere I turned there seemed to be someone watching. I cant remember the amount of times I'd get home only to be confronted by 2 elders wanting to know why I did this or that or whatever. Looking back, it's a pretty impressive thing - the fact that grown men can rally around a teenagers house at the drop of a hat, rain or shine, day or night, to ask who was I walking with at the local fair/cinema/pub. I mean, surely these people had better things to do...

  Unfortunately for me, I had a Witness family living directly opposite, one to the right of and an Elders family to the left. Strategically, it was a nightmare when sneeking out at night to go clubbing (or coming back) and only got caught a few times (which resulted in the usual bad association, end of the system, Jehovah watching my every move speach)

  I remember being asked to the back room by two or three elders and quizzed about another brother who they susspected of smoking. I knew he smoked. I;d seen him at school many times sucking on smoke. They knew I knew , but I wouldnt choke...Not that I particularly liked the kid - he was an elders son and was one of those who was always used as an example of how every teenager should dress/behave/walk/etc. I'd have probably got some satisfaction out ot it, but it just seemed so wrong.

  Anyhoo, enough rambling. Its been a while since I've checked this site out - nice to see some familiar faces.

  well yet again i'm left speechless by another inept refereeing display.

  that should have been the score.

  i don't care if portugal faffed about with the ball better than the english.

  Theres gonna be months of debate about the ref, and yes I do think Sol's goal should have been allowed, but that wasnt the only cockup the ref made. Throughout the game he made bad decision after bad decision. I can only imagine how soul distroying that can be.

  On the other hand we should be looking at Svens tactics. Defending for 80 minutes are schoolboy tactics and it was obvious on the few occations we attacked portugal, they looked weak. Beckham should have been subbed along with Scholes, and Heskey should have been bought on for Rooney. Then we could have bought off Owen in the last 10 minutes of play and replaced him with Vassell.

  England continue to look good against poor to average teams, but always stutter against quality. We were up against quality last night and it showed.

  Oh, and how the F*&k can you take a ref seriously when he dyes his beard...Sheesh!!!

  I was a little disappointed with the audioslave disc. I loved soundgarden and Chris Cornells solo album has entered my personal top10 of all time favourite albums. Audioslave, while having a few good tracks, didnt really get me off.

  Still, the mans a f***ng genius..

  What sister elder said at the book study..........ARRRGH

  hello all; my jaw dropped monday at the bookstudy.at the book study on monday, the only meeting i can stomach anymore, a statement was made that made my blood boil.

  in asking the question "how does god protect us?

  " sister elder answered this way: "well, one of the ways is like that abuse case that was filed in the (twin) cities, or wherever, (sic) it turns out it was thrown out because all the charges were false, or whatever.

  I guess its just a knee jerk reaction or a defensive thing. If they dont spout this crap, they'd probably just curl up in a foetal position and start quoting John 3 16 over and over again. Most of the time, they say these things without even engaging their brains. I dont get angry with them anymore,I just pity them.
